Always a favorite!
We have stayed at this property in the past and it never disappoints. The property is well kept and has a lovely pool and great beach location with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The staff is professional and responsive. We will definitely return.

Villa Del Palmar
The hotel was very nice and the staff for the most part were friendly. I did have a very bad experience with the check in supervisor. We had a wedding there and 5 rooms. She actually called me a liar when I told her who was in what rooms. I would think it does not matter as long as there was not to many people in a room. She said it is up to me if you stay or go.That was unacceptable

Always dependable
We really like this place, this being our third visit. We prefer to pay cash or by credit cards for our meals etc, this is not possible here so we tend not to use the eating facilities. They do have a great deli/market for coffee and snacks but the internet service was way too expensive so just walk across to the mall and pay 5 pesos for 10 mins. The only really irritating thing about this hotel is the timeshare people who attack you before you have a chance to get to the check-in counter demanding your resv info, id and credit card. We find this totally offensive as they are always rude and way too agressive and its a very bad way to start your visit.

warm weather getaway
very clean ,spa treatment was great & good value, food & drinks too expensive even with 20% discount card for area. cocierge did not give us all the info. we need when booking a golf outing. I have stayed in P.V. 8 times and this was the first time in hotel zone, and probably won't stay in that area again.

Great Value and location!!
I have stayed at this resort many times in past years and have always had a positive experience for the most part. Lounges around the pools being held for extended periods of time can be frustrating but this seems to happen at most resorts as there seem to be more guests than lounges. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Puerto Vallarta, Villa Del Palmer Spa&B
The location was fine easy to get to and easy to get around First we were not givin the rooms we were booked for, then next day had to get out of the room they gave us,they just overbooked The beach is not big enough for the amount of rooms they have, we had to get up ay 4.am to place towels on chairs to have a place to sit and already half the chairs were taken.the food was fine, very expensive, from people who have been goin for years say,it has doubled this year, example breakfest buffet 20.00 each we love puerto vallarta but we will not stay here again.

Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa,
Checked in myself and my parents. Some outer buildings -part of VILLA DEL MAR( a cheaper property), do not have elevators and my parents were placed on the 4th floor. We went back and got them moved to the main building after showing them their knee replacements. VILLA DEL PALMAR is part of the main building with ocean and pool view rooms, and pricier rates. VILLA DEL MAR is a few older building set back from the ocean with a lower room rate. BE CAREFUL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.... Hotel does not like to enforce it's own noise policy because the people are OWNERS.

Fun in the Sun - Beware the sharks
The hotel itself is spectacular. The maids, bell boys, bar staff, are all fabulous. The time share sharks ruin the complete effect. This was our second trip and we finally agreed to go on the time share. We were really interested to get the info, but told them up front we were NOT going to buy right now. We never got the things they promised for the tour and the concierge's "helpfullness" disappeared after our tour when we said no. But for that one little thing, it was a perfect vacation.

Short drive from hotel
Take the bus! It's 6.50 pesos (thats about 65 cents us), and you can go anywhere you want to. The drivers are helpful even if the ride is not up to US standards. They are bumpy, but it's an experience! We are still laughing about the trips!

Have stayed here before, so we
Have stayed here before, so we knew what we were getting. This was our first trip to PV in high season, however, and my only complaint is that there weren't enough pool chairs so you had to get up at 7:00AM to put your towels out. Great location for us, as there's a grocery store very close by and a short bus or cab ride to the action or restaurants downtown. Very little timeshare activity here, so no pressure or hard sell for us at all. Room was very clean and had a great view of the pool and beach area, and the beach here is free from the rocks found in the surf at other nearby hotel's beaches.

Some Good - Some Bad
We have stayed at this hotel several times before and we love the location, the large rooms with kitchens, cleanliness and the friendly staff. They do try and push time shares, however. Sometimes you have to be pushy to get a good room location - they usually try and put you in the less desirable rooms first but generally will move you upon your request. We were suppose to get a $150 hotel credit during our stay which was not honored and there was no one available to help us - we had written documentation but [...] supposedly had a note that it was not available. Not sure whose fault that was. The restraurants and bars are very expensive within the hotel if you are not all inclusive. But the location is great to get to downtown by either cab or bus where there are many eating establishments to choose from. Plus, you can do your own cooking if you prefer because of the kitchens in the rooms.

Short walk from hotel
There is a shopping mall just a short walk from the hotel that contains a large grocery store as well as shops and small dining cafes.
