Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center

I love the Sheraton's location, as it's in walking distance to the malecon/boardwalk. It has 2 great pools, one with several iguanas that were quite entertaining. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach is a bit rocky (as many of PV's beaches are). I was disappointed that there wasn't parasailing available on the beach, but it was a fun busride to the marina and a great boat ride included with the parasailing there. The food and drinks were great!

I will start off saying that the bed and shower was perfect. The beach was very rocky and not enjoyable. Wifi was not working in the rooms. Staff didn't seem to be very attentive except when you arrive and when you leave. All in all ok hotel for cleanliness and comfort but I will not use again.

This is a nice short stop on the way out to the airport. It is also a resort and a time share location. The view is great. The room is good for the money. They are a short walk or cab ride from the Malencon.

Nice hotel, but small bathrooms, good location,average food

We have been going there at least once a year for years. The hotel has been declining over the years. Staff has been rude and demanding tips, harassing female guests, etc... Service improved a little bit from last year, but you still feel like they are going to charge you extra for everything. Food is below average. They prefer cash over Starwood points for upgrades. not a good experience for us. We have noticed that it is getting worse avery year. The hotel looks very old and tired. The walkway from the hotel to Old Town -Malecon looks and feels SCARY. No proper sidewalk and no lights. Maybe it is time for us to avoid Mexico and Sheraton hotels for a while.

Hotel location really good, you can leave your car at the hotel so you can walk to better know all the nice views of Vallarta. The beach is not nice in this hotel for swimming When staying the whole day in the Hotel you have everithing at hand, a fit center, business room, nice restaurants but you have to be patient when ordering room service because it can be little bit late

I had a vacation with 3 ladies ( 4 of us total). One of the ladies had to push her room reservation to a few days later last minute. We called to see if her reservation could be moved and if her friend could share a room with us until she got in a few days later. We all called both the Sheraton and our booking company and were assured that there would not be any extra fee's, just a regulatory change fee of 25$. When we arrived the front desk demanded we pay more for a 3rd guest. If we had been treated as welcomed guests and offered some sort of compensation when we arrived we might have actually enjoyed our stay. If you want a nice customer service experience DON"T STAY AT SHERATON BUGANVILLAS!!! Dear Guillermo, As a Starwood member I think the Sheraton is missing the point here. We were treated with disrespect from the second we walked into the hotel and spoke to the front desk. All 3 of us come from customer service and know that this is absolutely not the way to treat a guest. Both Andres Salazar and Hector Fragaso were terrible to us. We asked to speak to Andres' supervisor after being treated horribly for over an hour. Andres kept telling us that he is the manager, and he does have someone above him; but his boss would just tell us the same thing as what Andre's had been telling us and it would not do us any good. He at first told us there was no way to discount or offer us anything to help make up for the new price to be paid . It took the front desk supervisor over and hour and a half to finally get his boss and to finally offer some sort of compensation. We had to get online and call our booking company and contact the starwods customer service ourselves. This is a hospitilaty industry, the guest walking into the hotel should not have to deal with calling around to all of these places after spending hours on an airplane! This was a mistake made by the hotel and miscommunication from the hotel. This was in no way shape or form an issue created by us, the guests of the hotel. We were made to feel like we were being accused for the situation. We totally understand the issue with the 3rd guest but we were told that there would not be another fee. This was told to us by both our booking company and the hotel staff on 2 different occasions. If we were treated respectfully we would have not any any sort of issue to begin with. If we were at first treated graciously we would have willingly paid the full 35$ per night fee with out question. Sheraton has lost 3 future patrons. Expect to receive a lot of negative press from the 3 of us. Good hotel location. Directly on beach. Nice room presentation.

First, you won't find a large resort closer to "Old Town" than this. That was the main selling point for me, as there's not much happening further up the coast where the other, new resorts are located. The property itself is on-par with other four-star tropical resorts, but the rooms are dated, if well-maintained. The guests during our stay were mainly families from other cities in Mexico; definitely not a party scene, but relaxing for the most part. The entire staff was fluent in English and very patient when I tried to practice the little Spanish I do know.

The hotel itself, from room to pool and restaurants are very clean, nice and comfortable, The staff specially all the front desk personnel that we encountered from our check in to every time we visit the front desk for assistance seems that they do not want to be bothered, They lack warmth and don't say hi,hello, how can we help you, good morning or anything like that. They need to be re trained. They finally came around when we said something.
