Friendly, clean resort

Altho this Melia was older than some, it was kept very nice. Landscape was beautiful, shows very professional & enjoyable. Food at the Italian restaurant was very continental & good quality. Buffets were great for breakfast & lunch. The Mexican restaurant was our favorite with a variety of seafood choices. People were extremely nice & smiled all the time. Bars were exceptional! Beaches in all this area were just okay tho.

Great place for the price

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Melia Feb 28 thru Mar 5th and thought it was great. The pool area is wonderful and not too many little kids or college kids. The staff is excellent but you have to show them your appeciation by giving some tips once in awhile. The dining options are good and they have 4 places to choose from for dinners, so, you should be able to find something to eat. For the money, this was by far one of the cheapest vacations I have gone on for the amount of food and beverages we consumed. Would definetly go back again to the Melia and to Puerto Vallarta.

My review of Melia Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

This was our 6th time back at the Melia and as in the past it is a wonderful place to stay! The staff is very friendly and we had a great time. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We traveled as a group of 9 as this was a surprise gathering for my son and his wife. We hope to return again soon.

Nice Time

I was very pleased with every aspect of my stay. My only exception would be the kids entertainment. My son is nine and there was not much organized for the older kids. With the buffet my son was always able to find something he liked. We went to most of the shows and enjoyed them however the last night the Spanish show had the VOLUME TURNED TOO LOUD. I knew the dancers were tap dancing but you could not hear it. We finally left due to the ear piercing volume.

Very Friendly

The Melia Vallarta was a very nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly and always ready to oblige. The room was large and did not smell the least bit musty like a lot of rooms in Mexico do. We had a hugh cupboard with lots of room to hang all our clothes, store our shoes and our suitcases. There was also a large dresser with 8 drawers for storing all the rest of our clothes and whatever else we had that needed storing plus an electronic safe. The bathroom was hugh and was always spotless. Because we were there for 3 weeks we became VIP guests and we really did get a lot of extra special attention: i.e. we would come back to our room in the afternoon to a fruit basket, champagne chilled on ice, chocolate dipped strawberries, fancy cream puffs - all were exquisitely done and wonderful to eat. There were lots of children around as this hotel is very faqmily oriented but never once did we encounter an unruly child. The food was good and the fact that there were 3 a la carte restaurants plus the buffet the food did not become monotonous. I would strongly recommend this hotel and we are looking forward to going back again next year!

First Time in Mexico

Clean is the best way to discribe the Melia. Our room, the beach, the pool, the eating areas, all very clean. I would wake up in the morning and watch the help powerwash the walkways, then sweep the walkways, and finally mop the walkways, EVERY DAY!! The ice in the resort was fine, the wife had frozen drinks and I drank my beer on the rocks and we did not get sick. The food is mexican and very good, there is other options like burgers and dogs, even sushi (pretty good). They switch up the buffet every day but the staple is mexican which we loved. There were many activities every day but the wife and I relaxed and enjoyed the beach and booze. The help was encridably helpful and we had one issue with the room which was fixed immediately. We got off the bus going into town early and walked more than we needed to but the town was SAFE and FRIENLY. I felt safer on their boardwalk than in any place in philadelphia. This was our first time out of the states and it was a very positive one. If you don't enjoy your stay you are just looking for things to complain about.

very family friendly

rooms were spacious; food was amazing, I have stayed at other all-inclusives where the selections are limited to pizza and hamburgers; at Meli? Puerto Vallarta you get a wide variety including mexican food every day, heck, you're in Mexico and part of my idea of visiting a country is to eat what the locals eat. The temperature of the pool was warm not the usual freezing of many hotels and the staff was very friendly and willing to accomodate any request. In addition, there is nightly entertainment of pretty good quality - best I've seen at an all-inclusive.
