Great place for kids
In general, we thought the Marriott was a fantastic place to stay, especially since we had our 5-year old and 5-month old with us. The pool is far and away the best feature, which we spent almost all of our 4 days playing in. We didn't do any kind of all-inclusive value, but did have a resort credit for each day. Without that credit, meals and drinks at the hotel were extremely expensive, so I think the value was the only part that was questionable. It's situated in the Marina, so it's about an 80 peso cab ride into town, which we did twice to eat at Pipi's (a must), but otherwise, we were content to stay at the hotel and enjoy the pool and beach. It's nice for a Puerto Vallarta beach, but for the most part, we played in the pool. There is a kids club and we utilized it once with our 5-year old. He reported that he liked it. It cost 350 pesos, including lunch, so it was too bad value-wise.

The food is so-so and expensive, so be sure to get a deal with a resort credit or an all-inclusive plan if available.

The Best Location & Service
Our family gets out about once a year kn a family outing (family of 4) this trip was especially memorable because of all of the tours we were able to do and the great hotel we came back to on a nightly basis. The hotel itself has a gorgeous beach and a pool which is huge and has a swim up bar as well as poolside service another plus the deli was stocked with snacks and small things such as sandwichs, bagels, and icecream. There was a 24 hour room service and pizzeria along with a late night menu Everything was awesome not many vendors bugging the guests on the beach We all went on the beach boy cruise(which included snorkeling), parasailing, jet skis, banana riding behind a boat, ATV, all within a 10 minute cab ride from the hotel . Best trip ever!

family vacation
Staff couldn't be better - helpful, friendly, and professinal. Also appreciated the drink vouchers the front desk staff gave mydaughter and me; would have appreciated communication that conditioner, shower cap, etc. all provided only upon request. Couple of lamp bulbs in room were burned out.

GREAT value
Our experience was nothing short of outstanding!!! the Hotel had everything we needed and more :) The location was good and the staff were friendly. They need to work on making their staff more efficient, but afterall, I think we (Americans) are too results driven....People in Mexico take their time, are a lot more laid back......I wish I could be like that someday :)

Nice Hotel
Staff very friendly and helpful. Annoying that you have to pay for everything extra, like Internet, etc. Location not recommendable if you want to have more opportunities for restaurants because centre is 20min taxi drive or 45min Bus drive away. Would have preferred to stay in the centre of Puerto Vallarta. But Hotel itself very nice and good if you only want to stay at the pool and on the beach.

Great safe place in the Marina at Puerto Vallarta. Beach is not great but beautiful. Food is only fair but excellent restuarants within walking distance. The rest of the hotel and amenities were great. Very nice spa.
