Best stay for the Buck
Restaurants were very good-best Ceasar salad ever in the Mikado. The pool staff were exceptional. Only c/o was the WiFi was spotty and every other day slowed down so much I had to go to the business center and use the PC there. These little charges kind of add up.The spa is great.

Beautiful Hotel
I have stayed at the CasaMagna Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa on two different occasions. It is truly a lovely place. The grounds are beautiful, the staff helpful and most spoke english. The food is wonderful although a bit pricey. I highly recommend this beautiful place and I will stay there again.

Great Time in PV
This is our second time at the CasaMagna Marriott. The first time was about 12 years ago. The hotel was just as we remembered--clean, beautiful, delicious. One thing that needs to be improved is the tennis courts--they are tucked in the back and the condition of the courts is old and not up to the usual standards.

Take the bus to the Centro rather than a taxi...it's 6.5 pesos rather than 100 pesos in a taxi

Clean, comfortable getaway
Spent a very quiet week here in March. Apparently the week before and after our stay were fully booked but our week appeared about 30% occupied, so no waiting for anything. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Bad coffee at the Hotel's bistro, but Starbucks (Marina) an easy and safe walk away. The Marina had some very good restaurants and there was always something going on in the evenings. Try the local bus to downtown, it's an easy and interesting experience.

Sightseeing tip:

Explore the North Shore, Bucerias/Punta Nita. Catch a local bus at any one of the bus stops on the main road just past the Marina. Look for the town name on the front window. If you're not sure ask the driver, most of them speak English. He'll also tell you when to get off if you're not sure. Bucerias is about 30 min's on the bus. You can catch a shuttle van back if you want (about the same cost but a bit quicker).

Excellent restful escape
The hotel was beautiful and comfortable - perfectly located on Banderas Bay. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The restaurants on site provided great food...and the atmosphere of the poolside restaurant was particularly enjoyable at sunset. Access to downtown Puerto Vallarta was easy by bus. The restaurants at the nearby marina were many and varied. Very good workout facilities. Will definitely return. Watch out for the myriad timeshare salespersons as you leave the airport. Ridiculously aggressive.

Great Place To Spend A Couple Days
Been going to Marriott in PV for 15 years. They understand that I just want to get away and pretty much leave me alone. If I need anything staff takes care of it promptly. Food is fresh and delicious.
