Hilton PV wins again

Just finished a fabulous 9 day vacation at the Hilton PV. It was our second time staying there and we just loved it. Great for the kids!! If you can spend a little extra $$ try and book a junior suite. They are spacious and have fabulous views and the decks are nice and big as well. The restaurants do not disappoint. For an all inclusive it's one of the best we've been to. The breakfast in Seafire is the best. Something for everyone. It was a tad more crowded than we normally like.....in addition to it being spring break, it was Mexican Holiday so the hotel was at full capacity. The service did not suffer though. We traveled with a big group and were always accommodated. Tipping goes far as they work their tails off for very little wage. Nicholas at the pool is fabulous....so is Joel and Herbierto. Alex and Jesus in the Seafire are also phenomenal servers. Overall a great place to relax, get sun, eat well and have fun.

Beautiful beachfront resort!

This was our first time staying at this resort and we loved it! The staff here is very attentive and friendly. Our favorite was Blanca she always made sure we were having a good time. This resort has some amazing views especially from the rooftop owest lounge, simply beautiful. The buffet was ok not too much to chose from. The Fogo restaurant was delicious and the staff there were great. This resort is more of a relaxing and family oriented hotel so if you are looking for a party scene this is not the place. The malecon was just a short distance away though were you can find all u need there. Can not say more about the wonderful staff that made our stay so much better. Erik at the bar, kaleb for his service and our new amiga blanca ...gracias ,gracias gracias!

Average hotel

Good things: location and price . Bad things: my room was cleaned too late around 4:00 pm everyday. The bathroom in the room was kind of weird there was no privacy .there isn't a main door in the bathroom . On one side you have the shower and on the other the toilet . The buffet wasn't good at all. They need more variety and real Mexican food.

Easter getaway

My experience with the hotel may be somewhat biased considering i visited during the national spring break time. Check in was delayed about 2 hrs. There were many children running, screaming and splashing. There were intoxicated American tourists vomiting in the pool. The hotel facilities are new and modern. The food is mediocre. This hotel has lots of potential. Maybe visiting during a different time would be advised.

excellent hotel!

I had an amazing stay, it's a small hotel (compared to the others in the same area) but it's perfect because you get a great service. The rooms are very clean and all the areas (pool, gym, spa, restaurant) are great. The food is good (specially the french restaurant).

Fabulous Family Vacation

We just returned back from the Hilton PV after 7 wonderful days with family and friends. The location and weather were perfect! The hotel itself has many great features and benefits. Staff is very warm and friendly once you get beyond the front desk. Food is what you would expect from an all inclusive, but seemed fresh and full of many options. Service was great and tipping goes a long way. Very appreciative staff and clean hotel! Respect the sun!!! Overall, a fantastic trip!! Will return with family------very kid friendly!!

There is something lacking here

I am British and have stayed in many many HH throughout the world and this Hilton was, in my opinion the worst that I have stayed in. In General Before I booked I looked at the comments This Sight as well as on other Advisor Sights (TA) and they were okay or good. This was not our experience. The majority of reviews were either written by American citizens or Canadians. Now eitther our standards are higher or the deals that the North America gets must be far better than ours. We paid over £1800 for 6 days and this was not at all value for money. If all you are looking for is cheap booze and very mediocre food then this is the place to stay. In terms of atmosphere and service then at best its hit and miss. Here is our opinion; Room service - none existent - we called twice for simple things like diet soda's or beer 1 - 2 hours and then we had to call three time. Rooms not made up until 5 - 6 pm Food in the speciality restaurants - over cooked, poorly presented and cold or at best warm Bar service - one member of staff servicing 10 or so guest - REALLY Beach service - pratically none exsistent unless you asked Evening entertainment - was in the lobby with naff seating - it was not at all condusive to staying and enjoying the evening. The executive floor - plastic glasses even when you were dressed up for dinner. Snacks consisted of Sushi but nothing else. Music was heavy rock - if thats your taste then this is the place for you. Messages from reception - just not getting to you. Beach / Pool Beds - reminded me of Spain in the 80's - towels were out by 6.30 am and no policing of "you cant save the beds for more than an hour" Food - cold and over cooked at the Brazillian speciality resautrant it was appaling - one waiter serving the meat to some 25 tables. The meat was chewy and dry - The worst expierence ever Valentines dinner - was a joke - service was poor and food was not very good. It almost seemed like an after thought that the hotel should do something on a special night GOOD POINTS Certain staff deserve a mention; The Bell Boy - Andreas could do more to help but he is fighting a battle on his own The Conceirge - They try and sort most things out - but you shouldnt have to fight / argue for things you pay for Karina the Duty Manager - as above The Hotel is located only a 10 minute taxi ride from down town and cost onl $5 The marina north of the hotel is a gem and well worth a visit - best meal of the holiday In CONCLUSION If getting drunk is you thing this is the place to stay, or you want pool full of kids or drunken adults - woooo hooo stay here. If you want something that has a little more sophistication or more special then stay South of the town - okay is a 15 - 20 minute taxi ride but the setting and service beats this place hands down. Would I stay here again - hmmmmmm - NO Would I like a refund of some degree - Absolutely 100%. The hotel just lacks the finishing touches that we in Europe expect. Cheap Booze and naff food for the money we paid does not cut it for me. Perhaps if I had paid half of what we had paid my expectation might be lower. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE

Doesn't get much better it had it all.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously, the Restaurants and food were fantastic so was the service/waiters and Bartenders. We would definitely go back. We went on the city tour as well as on the tour to San Sebastian. Fortunately we did not have to get on a Bus but rode leisurely in a Van the tour guides were very knowledgeable. I would and have already recommended this Hotel.
