Hacienda Hotel and Spa All Inclusive

This is the first time I've ever written a review about a hotel, but I felt it was my duty to warn future tourist not to go to this hotel. It's so sad to look forward to a vacation and plan it meticulously and hope you are getting away for some much needed R and R. When you check in you have no one who offers to help you take your bags. They just handed me a real key that if lost could cost you $25 to $50 to replace. The real problem was the fact that I felt like I was in a frat house instead of a hotel. The hotel was filled with 20 to 25 year old's drinking and partying around the hotel until 5 am in the morning. The food was very limited and the drinks were watered down. Gosh this place was awful!! I'm to upset to continue.

Probably one of the worst rooms we've ever stayed in...we were next to the street on one side and atrium on the other. The sliding door barely closed and had no track so you could hear everything through it. The floors were tile and not that clean, the shower door was hanging with one screw, barely any water came out of the shower head, no hair dryer. The room was truely a dive in all ways.Almost forgot--no elevators--so plan on doing steps.

The hotel is in the best location in Puerto Vallarta if you want to do some excursions. We did Whale watching, Canopy zip lines, and scuba diving. All were boarding within walking distance from the hotel. Downtown was a taxi ride for 50 pesos. Supermarket, places to eat, and banks were all within a very short walk. They also have a hacienda beach lounge on the beach which was great. The staff were ALL extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect. The cleaning staff were outstanding.

I got the European plan. It´sa beautifull plac. if you are planing to go to Puerto Vallarta for vactaion I will recoment to choose the Europeon plan, that way youcould go to the different tours that they have right there.

Fun and convenient

Right off the bat they scared me with a list of fines: $150 US! if I lost the key, $50 or maybe $75 if I lost the remote. Another fine related to a towel. This encouraged me to not avail myself of the facilities other than to sleep and shower. There was NO clock. And the tv clock was off by hours, and my cell had so signal, and I never could figure out what time it was. Bring a watch. The bed was HARD. Coffeepot was good, but no cups, spoons, creamer or sugar. Or coffee. I bought coffee, used the glasses. A fridge and microwave would have been nice to have.

This was our first trip to mexico, and it was a memorable one. The hotel staff that we stayed at was amazing, and very helpful. The food was awsome, and for the staff to go out of their way to prepare a special Thanksgiving dinner for all the guests was pretty cool. We will be returning to this hotel again in the future.

Hacienda is a small hotel near Playa de Oro that is frequented by Mexican families. It is older and not a Marriott or Holiday Inn but is staffed by warm, friendly folks who will help you in any way they can. I return again and again because of the service and the authentic atmosphere. It is a terrific bargain for the price. There is major construction, on the street to the beach (about 2 blocks) and walking is a bit difficult,however, the hotel runs a regular shuttle that goes around the construction.

i've stayed here before, its a great location and the staff is very nice and courtious. the rooms are always nice and clean and secure. the only thing i could say is maybe when the maids clean the rooms to keep the door closed and keep the mesquitos out. not really to bad, but they can be a neusance. The music was fun at the pool but a little bit to loud at times, not everyone wants to hear that kind of music when its loud. The food was always good at the buffet and the bar was at your service. Over all i enjoyed my stay again at the Hacienda Hotel and spa.
