Great Stay!!

Had a great time!! Rooms were cleaned and mopped everyday with fresh bed linen and towels. Food was superb, pay the extra amount to go all inclusive its well worth it!! Staff by the bar was excellent bringing drinks and food promptly. Our room had an amazing view. Only negative is our building location was to far up a steep hill to walk to main lobby. Also, our building had a pool and hot tub but no staff to serve drinks and food. A small negative to an otherwise Major hotel. I strongly suggest this hotel!!!

The Rhythms of the night show is amazing. Also, the zip line "Canopy" tour is about 15min from the hotel. I'd suggest catching a cab to save on hotel package.

Wow!!!!! Great experience ever. This quick getaway was incredible. The staff and service was amazing, the (panoramic) junior suite was fantastic, and the location was breath taking. Everything was perfect. FYI- exchange your money @ "casa de cambio"

Do not exchange your money at the Airport , once you get to a taxi tell him/her to take you to a "Casa de Cambio" its like a bank. Their dollar value is higher than the exchange booths in the Airport

Perfectly Located!

Just outside of Puerto Vallarta this hotel has a perfect mix of being close enough to town to be an easy trip in for shopping/nightlife and far enough away to be its own 'island'. The best restaurant is the one by the downstairs pool, food is fast and fresh, tasty and drinks are perfectly mixed. There are three restaurants in all but thats the best food wise. As to be expected the time share sales pitch was there to greet you at the door but just put them off with a 'later' as you already have plans(everyday but the next to last :-) and you can glide under their radar. Most beaches in the PV area are not good for swimming due to surf break/currents but thankfully the hotel has a few pools. The pool by building four and five is almost always empty but service isn't as good for food and drinks as the main pool at sea level. A trip into town costs 8 pesos and to the botanical gardens 20, the village of Boca is 8 pesos but don't be sucked in to visit Yelapa as the place has little to offer that you can't find in PV and isn't that clean, the water taxi does pass some pretty coastline though. The water taxi to Yelapa is 70 pesos if you get the official taxi and thats local rate. Be prepared though as it beach lands and you'll get your feet wet when you get out :-) All in all though a great location with comfortable rooms with gorgeous views :-) PV has a perfect mix of things to see and do as well as being able to give you peace and quiet.

Garza Blanca - nice place out of the downtown

10th floor room - overlooking the bay - with nice view of the mountains. Room had all the nice appointment - but if you looked closely - finishing touches weren't all done.. Handles on shower fixtures - not secure and hot water spigots in pool bathroom didn't work. Lunch menus are same for all restaurants including the pool bar... and we wondered if our lunch (served at steakhouse) came from pool bar given time to table from when ordered.. Nonetheless - despite the time share sale effort (which had three different people question us post negative response to same) it was a nice place out of the downtown

Couple getaway

Enjoyed our stay. Only concern was the transportation between the upper buildings #4 & #5 to the lower level. It could have run a little more often and consistent. We particularly found the staff at the lower pool to be exceptional. Jamie and Alenjandro worked very very hard to keep all the customers happy and well cared for in the pool area. They were running the entire time and did it with a smile on their faces! We plan on returning next year.

Amazing break from February in the Northeast

My experience at Garza Blanca was amazing. The pros were the food, beautiful view of Banderas Bay, and lovely property. The major con was that I didn't know that there were towers, I thought that I would be placed on ground level where the pool bar and beach were. It wasn't a trek to get down there, but the picture makes the property look nice and quaint. In reality it's much bigger than expected. Nonetheless, I had an amazing time. Getting into town was very easy. We mainly took the local bus.

Very Nice Hotel and Experience

This resort exceeded our expectations. The accommodations, service and quality of food and beverage was outstanding. We were not pestered to purchase a vacation residence (code for timeshare) but we decided on this trip we would try to not draw attention to ourselves (No wedding rings or valuables, we left our Rolex watches home). The main pool is noisy with the road so close, construction going on in the towers up on the hill and of course some screaming kids. They do a nice job masking unwanted sounds with pool water falls and music. Also, this is not an adults only resort even though it appears to be. Screaming kids and loud parents but not all the time. Perhaps we just picked a bad weekend. The staff also asks for minimal noise after dark in both the rooms and poolside. People seemed to abide by the rules so it was quiet at night. We will be returning for another stay

great birthday!!

all was perfect.. Friendly staff, great food and amenities. Would definitely return. No complaints other than concierge should know more about town: restaurants, shopping, etc. Did not spend a dime shopping (!!) because I never found anything different from one store to the next. I would have liked to find some unusual stores because I have been to Mexico so many times.
