good for the money spent

Let me preface with the fact that we stayed only one night on our way to our final resort destination. The staff was friendly and the location was great being right on the marina. The beds are hard but for $40 a night I can handle anything. As with most of old Mexico you cannot flush your toilet paper. The building sewer lines will clog, but the newer resorts don't have this issue. The onsite restaurant is fair but there are great eateries along the marina that I would recommend instead. Las Palomas is an old favorite and the seafood place between the little grocery and the OXXO is WONDERFUL and usually packed!

Needs that something special

Good location, close to Marina. Rooms could use some updating. Nice bathroom but a bit small. Just paid $9 more and all four of us got a great breakfast (on site). It was okay to stay a night or two but that's about it. It served us but there are other places to try out, so I wouldn't go back there.

Reasonable, nice location in Mariina

Arrived a day before the start of our timeshare week. Good place not far from airport to use upon arrival or departure to or from PV. Nice location near shops and restaurants at Marina.

Price Is Right and Location is Superb

I was presently surpised on arriving at this hotel. The rooms were large and bright. I found the requesting of the fridge and bit confusing. I was told one was available and then another person said no. I wish hotels when they put steps in the pool which very nice (hate those ladders) they would also put in a railing becuase the steps can become quite slippery plus makes getting in and out of the pool easier for us old folks.

Wonderful hotel w/o breaking the bank

Staying at the Marina gives you walking access to restaurants (all great), a pharmacy, a bakery/deli, shops and more. Be wary of everyone stopping you with the pretext of being friendly when they really want to get you to go on a boat tour where they will try to sell you a time share. There are also ligitimate tours you can take. You can catch the bus within a block or two to downtown for 55 cents, walk the Malecon (boardwalk) tons of stores, restaurants, museums, an art gallery, World of Tile with beautiful tile murals, individual tiles, bowls, decorated sinks, decorative address numbers and much more.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Restaurant Chez Elena in the city has a rooftop patio with a tremendous view of the entire city and Bay of Banderas. Enjoy a marguarita and after the beautiful sunset go downstairs to have an unbelievable meal. About a block or two east of Juarez (street) and about 3 blocks north of Our Lady of Guadalupe catholic church.

Great Location at the Marina

Great experience very friendly staff, I will go back again. [...] the cashier at the bar invited me along with her family to a beach way south of PV for a few hours to get out of the hot area. Please get to know the people they can help in making your trip more with their knowledge.

Great Place

There is nothing wrong with this hotel! When I read the other reviews on the Orbitz site, I was a bit apprehensive. But the facilities were clean and spacious, the hotel staff was helpful and spoke English very well, and the swimming pool was clean and beautiful. The cabana served a good breakfast and lunch, and there were shops nearby and other restaurants that were quite good. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and expect to visit it again the next time I'm in town. Very convenient to the airport - only 50 pesos to get there, and very helpful staff to call the cab and help load and unload your luggage. Nice place!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Alfresco's was a great place for dinner - walking distance from the hotel - open air dining by the marina with the best surf and turf and lobster bisque.
