Flamingo Vallarta Hotel & Marina

Very inexpensive, convenient place to stay near the airport. Perfect for an overnight on the way to another location. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean. There is a pool and bar AND great resturants within walking distance. The marina where it is located is charming and quiet.

We have stayed at Flamingo Vallarta many times and recommend it to all our friends who want good accomodations at the Marina Vallarta.

We needed somewhere to stay for a single night because our flight arrived a day earlier than our hotel reservation elsewhere. This looked like the kind of Mexican-run hotel we like, so we took a chance (at about half what I would have expected to pay). The hotel turned out to be charming and (at least in April, post-Santa Semana) quiet, with a relaxed and helpful staff. It's quite close to the most laid-back end of the Puerto Vallarta marina, near the fantastic, bargain seafood restaurant La Coleguita. The catch, at least for those driving a rented car, is that you'll have a hard time finding it, especially at night. It's only five minutes from the airport, but we took an hour, including a ten-minute stop at a marina restaurant getting directions. Basically, you turn into the marina (at the Neptune statue), take the first left and then left again to head for the marina boat launch. Just before the launch, there's what looks like a blind alley heading off the street to the left. The dark alley is actually a road that bends and snakes along to the Flamingo. There's plenty of parking at the end. Later in the week, we learned from some Mexican friends who also happened to be staying there that they have a great breakfast included in the price of the room. We'll remember that for next time. This has got to be the best combination of price and location in the PV marina. You can be close to everything there at a fraction of the cost of a night at one of the big resort hotels.

Overall we liked this hotel. We only spent one night there. The staff was very friendly and the beds comfortable. The floor might have been a little more clean, but for the price, you can't beat this one. Close to restaurants and shops.

This hotel was wonderful. Last year we stayed at a big hotel on the main strip and were very disappointed (full price room rate, with half price service). The Flamingo at the Marina was the complete opposite, nice reasonable rate with full friendly service. We were a little nervous to stay at a lower price hotel thinking it may be a dive or unsafe, but boy were we wrong! We cannot say enough nice things about this place, helpful friendly staff, nice rustic (but very clean) rooms, free internet and computer access in the lobby, fast and tasty room service, it was just an overall great experience! The hotel and staff were the crowning jewel of this trip. The area is very safe, and the marina with all of its beautiful boats and night lighting was so romantic. This was such a pleasant stay that we literally did not want to leave. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel, as it is guaranteed to please. We will be booking again for this December! If you want to take the worry out of if your getting a good place or not, do yourself a favor and book this place, you won't regret it!

Nothing could of been better. Great service, Clean, Great location on Marina Vallarta, lots of shops and restaurants.

Convenient to the restaurants and sites at the Marina. Close to main street which makes for easy access to public transportation. Close to the airport. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
