Great value, great place!
This was truly a wonderful experience - a first class hotel with relaxation and service! The staff was a real plus - friendly and helpful. The last day my husband was sick and the hotle management let us have 3 free hours before we had to leave for the airport - very accommodating. The views from the rooms are incredible and the pool is wonderful - also there is a protected swimming area off the beach. We would definitely recommend this to anyone with a family or to anyone looking for some great R & R.

Wonderful hotel
Beautiful hotel, views from all rooms, great staff & food. Wouldn't go again at spring break because neighboring hotels had music all night on beach--quiet as soon as spring break ended. Fun place for kids because of all the supervised activities. Very safe. The hotel's restaurants were excellent, especially the Hacienda Mexican food. Fabulous breakfast buffet. If you have food discount, check your bills & waiter will correct errors. Best tour was Banderas Bay Tours to the picturesque village of San Sebastian. Avoid timeshare/membership sales people.

stone cutter
a fly in the ointment
The hotel requires all guests to sign a promise not to bring any food or drink onto the grounds. This new policy may very well cause us never to visit again. It is silly to hide a cookie or soft drink while walking past the watchful eyes of the front desk! They said it was to prevent disease. What utter nonsense. We all know the real purpose is promote in house purchasing at exhorbant rates ($2.50 for a can of soda!) I don't think so.

Not as I expected
Fiesta Americana is located in a commercial area and there is nothing to do there. Even though there is a bus that stops right in front of the hotel, riding it several times a day gets old. If you are looking to go out in the evenings stay downtown or in the marina. Better yet, stay in Sayulita! Sayulita is a very charming beach town about 45 mins to the north. You'll find an awesome beach with a laid back vibe, many friendly people, lots of amazing restaurants, and great nightlife.

Paradise
We had the most fabulous time ever. I have been to Mexico before, but this is my husbands first trip. I am so glad I chose this hotel. We walked about 3 miles on the beach and from that angle, I would truly pick this place again. It is the best!!. Take the bus for a truly great experience. So easy right in front of the hotel. Downtown,,Don't miss cheeky monkey for dollar beers and margaritas and right on the beach. Also Nacho Daddy for wonderful chile rellenos. The Margaritas are expensive at the hotel but you get your money's worth. They are very strong. All in all, we just had a great great time. And contrary to alot of complaints about a small beach"? Don't know where THEY were, but it was NOT here. The beach is glorious and swimming in the ocean right at the hotel is fabulous

You can get most of the stuff on the malecon that you might want to barter for on the beach. I got a beach cover up from a vendor on the beach and had to haggle alot to get it for $15. Found the same thing on the malecon shops for $12. So there ya go. I DID get some fabulous deals on silver on the beach tho. Beautiful turquoise bracelet inlaid on silver for $15

Great hotel, lobby, beach!
The location is perfect. All the rooms are beautiful, ocean view. The Lobby is really pretty with a fun bar that has happy hour 2 for 1 drinks, and takes you straight out to the beautiful large pool. Plenty of pool chaises and beach seating also. Only about a 5 peso trip to town, not far from airport. The rooms are not huge, but plenty good size room, ocean front view beautiful. Beach great with plenty of chairs and palapas to sit under and excellent wait staff. Food and drinks reasonable because we had 25% off in our package. The only disappointment was one day a lot of debris came to shore on our beach and we were told that it was from a river from the city where they dump garbage? Gross. Also it was Easter week and a got a little loud from parties and music going on from other hotels along the shore.

We really enjoyed the city of Puerto Vallarta, great restaurants there - so many on the ocean. Our two favorites were La Palapa (right on the beach, great mood lighting, delicious food) and Si Senor with unbelievable atmosphere, service and food!

Super stay in PVR!
We spent a wonderful week on the beach enjoying all the activities: swimming, snorkeling, para-sailing, beach walks, boat excursions, fishing, Kid's Club etc. So much so that we were worn out. Weather was perfect! 80's & sunny! The hotel is beautiful with great rooms (comfy bed, big flat screen, balcony with great view of the beach & bay). Service was great except they couldn't/wouldn't/didn't fix the fridge (also there was an ALL-night techno concert going on down the beach that kept us awake the 1st two nights (until we bought earplugs). The hotel kept telling us the concert was over, but it wasn't (went on for 5 nights!).

Short walk from hotel
There's a super-center down the street where you can buy ANYTHING. Beer/drinks at the hotel are $3-$6, but a six at the store is $5. Only problem (since they wouldn't fix our fridge) is that the hotel guards their ice as if it's gold.

Far surpassed expectations
Fiesta Americana is a wonderful hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful,in all aspects. The restaurants were far tastier than I had anticipated, and the wait staff was very attentive. Other outstanding features include: incredible, ocean view rooms; beautiful and safe beach; expansive grounds that never felt crowded; adequate workout facility (a tiny bit small); clean rooms with comfortable beds and superior linens; gorgeous pool area. It was the staff that made our stay so relaxing. They are warm and friendly, and truly focused on effecient service. This resort will not disappoint travelers with the highest expectations, and its an exceptional value.
