- Spacious newly renovated room with a king bed. Each room boasts a beautiful view of our pool area. Rooms also feature plasma television, iron / board, coffeemaker and hair dryer. Some deluxe rooms offer a breath-taking ocean view.

- This hotel is located at the end of calle 13 or 13th street, where many restaurants and live entertainment can be found. The property is adjacent to the marina and near by water sports and ATV rentals. Located in the center of all the action in town. Just a few minutes from the Old Port, a few steps from the Marina; at the end of 13th street where restaurants and live entertainment can be found, within walking distance from downtown and at the beginning of the 8 miles long sandy beach. Next to the pool our guest can enjoy a beach volley ball match on the sand.

Penasco Del Sol Hotel, Puerto Penasco
Check in was simple and easy. The hotel has a nice lobby, bar, restaurant, pools, and sandy beach. We spent a lot ot time at the pool and beach. The hotel underwent a complete remodel a year or so ago and has good firm beds, flat screen tv's and a remodeled pool area.

We traveled on Sunday through Tuesday and the hotel was at a good location beach front view with walking distance to restaurants staff was friendly. This is the second time I use this hotel and so far not real complains. The weather was good and all around we had a good time.

Super Couple
Penasco del Sol in March? Think again.
The hotel itself is in a great location, right next to the beach and we had a sunset view from our balcony, but no one, not even the hotel staff informed us that they would be throwing a party, 24/7 for every teenage kid in the Midwest/Western US. This wasa huge pain. If you are looking for a place to relax, consider waiting until April!!!

On the corner is the Beach Club, and their prices are unreal, $1.00 shots (which would easily be 6-7.00/per in the States, as well as thier breakfast which was SUBLIME!

Excellent Value
Excellent location. Facility was very clean, well maintained with very helpful staff. On the beach. Very well maintained swimming pools and sauna. Meals at the hotel were great and very reasonably priced. I was by myself this trip just lounging around.

Various cruises available, like sunset and night harbor view etc. If you don't care to be deluged by venders while waiting to sail do not board the boat until last minute.

Awseome weekend experience!!
Great customer service. Very clean and is right on the beach. Awesome breakfast buffet. Also enjoyed a great massage at their spa.

Penasco Del Sol...OK for the price!
Ok hotel for the price. We got there on a Thursday and it was perfect. No kids, a bit noisy at the pool after 10pm since there was a large party for a wedding on Saturday. They were partying by the pool until 4am. Staff never told them to lower their voice. Throughout our stay, there was no ice in the hotel. The drinks were only beer and it was $4 bucks per 12oz. can. No too happy with the hotel. It was clean and a nice walk to the beach area. The cabanas and the pool were great but came Saturday and Sunday, way too many kids and very noisy. Go on a weekday because weekends are crazy with kids running everywhere and parents not caring for them. Would only stay there again if they continue with the cheap prices. Will not pay over $120 a night. Not worth it. Rather go to Las Palomas and pay the $300 a night.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. It is nice and clean, however at NO TIME have the ice machines EVER worked. Very inconvienient for the guests, as we heard others complain of the same.

spring break?
not a family hotel to bring kids. rooms smelled like the bathroom,stains on bedding,ciggarette burns,lg dead roach in corner,hot. pool was for dunk college students, inappropriate behaviors, wet t-shirt contest...not my idea of family rating

Right on the beach!
Hotel was what you should expect in Mexico, not super clean but very nice. Its an older building but kept up well none the less. You can see the Sea of Cortez from most rooms and have a private entry way to the beach from the hotel. It was about 150m walk down to the water but that was mostly walking around the pool. The lobby was large and very welcoming. Service was great but do not expect the same type of great service you find in the US. Drinks were reasonable and food was cheap. Its worth the $5 cab ride to restaurants and to just leave your car at the hotel. Must try the shrimp anywhere! Amazing! No spring breaker types during the summer as its mostly Mexican families. Less drunks but more kids if that works for you.
