Good location and fabulous service
We stayed at Casareyna for a weekend trip to the historic center of Puebla. The location is great - only 2 blocks from El Parian market and really close to everything else (Zocalo, Cathedral, Callejon de los Sapos, etc). The staff was VERY helpful, gracious and prompt with all our requests. Our room was really lovely, clean, quiet and spacious. Overall this place is a great value and we would definitely return!

El Parian is great shopping for artesanias but be prepared to bargain for a good price (totally acceptable).

a wonderful hotel!
Service in this hotel is impeccable. Rooms are great. we had a master suite with a large terrace, a very comfortable room. What we like about this hotel is that the whole hotel felt "airy" and comfortable. We traveled with our two adult daughters who also loved this hotel. Beautiful hotel, quiet, perfect!

Great downtown location
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one night. We typically spend quite a bit of time reading online reviews to find the best bang for the buck, and we loved the choice we made. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were spacious with original furniture. Great Boutique hotel overall. Best of all, the hotel is next to the conference center and only a few blocks from the Zocalo.

Beautifal Hotel, Great Service
My dad and I stayed in the Junior Suite and the room was beautiful and very clean. We arrived around 10pm and I had previously emailed to make sure that someone would be available for check-in, upon arrival we were graciously greeted. At check-in he did not speak great english, but we had no issues and it went smoothly. The free breakfast is great it features fresh fruits, delicious cake, coffee, and fresh juice. The hotel is about 6 blocks from the main zocalo, but I think the location is a lot better than being right at the zocalo. It is quiet and right across the street from the Paseo San Francisco which is a small mall with a cinema and several coffee shops. We had fun going to the coffee shops at night. Very safe, gracious staff, and beautiful rooms does not get much better than this. Highly recommended, I will stay there again once I return to Puebla in a few months!

Splendid
This is a class act from start to finish. The only thing one must be aware of, especially if taking a taxi, is that the taxi driver knows where the hotel is located. It is not on "2 Oriente" (where there is a hotel but not the Casareyna) but "Privada 2 Oriente" which is about one half block over and is about 200 feet long. It is opposite a convention center, but there is enough space that that does not create a single problem. I am a walker and it is a short walk to the Zocalo, but I don't think that even a non-walker would think it too far away.

a true Treasure in Puebla
Hotel Casareyna belongs to the Tesoros group of boutique hotels in Puebla and it is indeed a treasure of a hotel. The decoration is spare and very modern, with occasional references to the elegant Talavera pottery for which this city is known. My room and bathroom were large, with tile floors covered by thick kilms and native american rugs. The staff was gracious and accomodating: each day I requested breakfast before the normal 8:00 AM start and this request was always granted with a smile. Hotel Casareyna is a popular evening destination for its bar and restaurant. Some travelers have complained of the noise and no, it is not quiet in the evenings. I actually enjoyed the festive nature of the hotel but might have felt differently had I wanted to retire by 10:00 PM, when the restaurant generally quieted down.

Short walk from hotel
An abundace of Talavera shops are located on Av. 4 Poniente just across Blvd. 5 de Mayo from the hotel. One cannot leave Puebla without a piece of this delightful blue and white pottery which traces its history to the Spanish conquest.

Great people but a little clueless
Four of us stayed in one room, 3 nights, with two great beds. The staff were great and very nice. The room was also very clean and comfortable. Very clean as well. The first night, however, the staff was blasting the T.V. starting around 4am (for about 4hrs). Also, the two nights we arrived around 11,30pm, no one was there to open the door. We kept knocking the main door then finally had to call them. We waited outside for about 35min both times. The staff person who answered the door seemed to have just woken up and said he didn't hear us. So, this was the only reason that the service at the hotel wasn't a 5 star for us. Otherwise, location and everything else was great.

Short walk from hotel
It's across the street from a huge mall that is mainly a gigantic food court and Sanborns. Across the main street is the old part of town which is great! Only a 10min walk to El Zocalo.
