American Hotel chain, un-American standards
The Best Western Hotel in Puebla could be very deceiving for an American traveler. Being an American chain, the Best Western Hotel in Puebla lacks typical American hotel standards, such as A//C in rooms, T.V. remote control, iron/iron board to name a few. The hotel badly need some renovation, and room upgrades. It is affordable but not the best option. we stayed for only one night, so it was okay, but would have stayed at another place if I was thinking of staying for longer than that.

You might want to start by taking the Turibus in Puebla, at the main plaza (Zocalo). It would give you a good idea where to go, get off. If you want to go to the Loreto Fortress (Fuetre de Loreto), just take the Turibus and get off there.

Convenient and cheap hotel. don't expect all the amenities. You are in Mexico and the hotel is not that expensive.

Review Hotel Best Western Real de Puebla
When you travel to Mexico and your budget is limited, you just want a room, bathroom, perhaps a TV and most important INTERNET CONNECTION. Eventhough Internet in this hotel is included, the system failed many times and as you know we get really nervous when we are not connected, but overall the price is correct for what you pay for. And always have in mind that when staying in this hotel you are in Mexico. this is a Best Western (USA controled Hotel) but it is still located in Mexico with Mexican people and ran by Mexican People, so just calm down and relax...things take time to get done down here.

Hotel Real de Puebla
This is by far the WORSE Best Western I have ever come across. The staff was rude, they have no experience with online reservations, customer service was beyond deplorable, electrical outlets were not only faulty, they were dangerous. The bathrooms were very small shower stalls. Did I mention the rude staff. It is unbelievable that Best Western could ever endorse such a horrible Hotel!

Outraged Guest
Horrible Experience- Fire Hazard
I went to this hotel because it had excellent revies, nevertheless the Best Western Hotel did not have adecuate measures in place to deal with emergencies. During my stay there was a minor fire in the hotel which turned out to be a major ordeal due to the negligence of the staff. The hotel staff did NOT alert the guests of the fire and did not sound the fire alarm. The majority of the guests became aware of the fire only after smoked had entered their rooms. The hotel staff did not give out any information as to what was happening and as a result a very minor incident ended up causing panic. I would NOT recommed this hotel to ANYONE. The hotel itself was located in a good area and had nice rooms, however I would NEVER again stay in a hotel that failed to offer minimal guidance to its guests during an emergency. Also, the hotel promised to refund the money for that night and did not do so.
