Good but not great.
Pros: -Very friendly staff -Very clean room -Very quiet in the building we stayed -Grounds are kept beautiful. The site is very impressive! -Nice beach and a good number of comfortable chairs. -Beautiful pools -The on sight restaurants (which you are only allowed to visit 2 times in a 6 night stay), were very good (probably the best food I've had). Cons: -Very hard beds -Very thin/flat pillows -Room had a very strong odor of mildew or musk -Food was nothing special and poor quality. This was the biggest disappointment for me. It had an overall cheap appearaance and taste. -Often ran out of food items during dining times -Had to get up at 6:30 AM to reserve a beach chair or you would end up sitting on a towel on the sand. -Many smokers, so you smell cigarette smoke all day while at the beach. -Free alcoholic beverages but they were very watered down. They must refill the same bottles of booze every night with the cheap bottom shelf stuff. -No Kahlua on sight (hard to believe they wouldn't even stock a product of Mexico). -Generic beer. No matter what brand you ask for you get it from the same tap. I finally gave up and just asked for cerveza (spanish for beer).

An ok resort with a fantastic location
My family of 3 found this to be one of the lower end All Inclusives. Sadly they are so close to being better. They truly miss the boat when it comes to friendliness, bar staff especially. And the same goes with the same food constantly at the buffets. We've visited many AI's and would not choose this one again just for those reasons. Now, the location, beach, pool and activities staff were wonderful. But at this one it's a bargain and there's a reason...you get what you pay for.

Great beach, good location
The hotel is located in Playacar, close enough to walk to Playa Del Carmen. The beach was clean and large. The staff in the bars and restaurants work very hard to please you, the front desk staff are not as helpful. Rooms are small and basic, but clean. There is no kleenex or face towels and you have to ask for additional water for teeth brushing etc.. The food in the buffet was average, but there was enough variety to please our picky group of 12. The made to order pasta bar and omelet stations were great and they are always making fresh donuts or empanadas which are great. The restaurants are good and they offer good variety and great staff. The pool is located right at the beach and there are lots of palapas for shade both on the beach and near the pool. Overall good hotel and great value for the price.

Fantastic Family getaway
would give it 4 1/2 stars overall. Good family as well as adult activities. Could re-vamp the shows nightly and perhaps have local bands play there.

I'd go again!
Loved the beach and hotel grounds! Rooms are modest, but clean. Got cold at night, not many blankets. Great food in the buffet! Lots of stuff to do! Felt safe the entire time and loved that the hotel was inside of gates so not everyone could enter. Didn't encounter any spring break party kids, only adults and families there to relax.

Nice location
I loved the location being in a "gated" area - it made me feel very safe. The facility was great - plenty of lounge chairs and entertainment during the day and evening. I did not like the sinks in the bathroom - they were top mounted and very high for me being 5'2". I also did not like the soap/shampoo dispensers. We went to the sister resort for breakfast one morning and they chased us out...we thought it was a fluke and went the next morning with the same result. They should not advertise you can use both resorts, as you can not. Also, lots of Europeans that were topless at pool

Our first All Inclusive
A perfect getaway, our first time in Mexico. As stated by others, if you see a poor review here it was made by very picky vacationers. Beautiful resort, very clean with attentive staff everywhere you look. We lucked out with a room steps to the beach. There is a wide assortment of great food, changes daily so you can really have something different every day, catering from the healthy conscious to the 'I am on vacation' calorie consumers. The drinks were good, wine not so much but now is the time to find something different right? Excellent beach on which you can walk for miles, lots to do and see. Entertainment staff work hard at a long day of making sure you are not bored. Taking in morning water aerobics is a great way to ensure you may have a guilt free lunch! (even for the men who 'attempt' while sitting at the swim up bar!) A great place to be with family and friends with the biggest chore being- deciding the night before, do we lounge at the pool or on the beach tomorrow... Thanks Maya
