Valentin Imperial Maya- Adults Only All Inclusive

Really nice hotel ocean wonderfull little too relax... bars closing at 5... missing ambiance and music

Upon arrival, we were greeted in a beautiful atrium and immediately served champagne. Check-in was quick and informative. My room was beautiful, clean, and roomy. Pay attention to the map, and try to get accustomed to the resort the first day as one can easily get lost. The pool is as beautiful as pictured on the website, and there are 2 swim-up bars. The beach is amazing, and has servers circulating regularly for drink orders (no food). The staff are all very, very friendly and helpful. The food at the 10 or so restaurants is all good, I especially enjoyed 'Ginger,' we ate in the hibachi private room. Room service is available 24/7 and is fairly quick. I highly recommend this resort, and found it was well worth the money--additionally, our taxi driver and both airport shuttle drivers (locals) said that the Valentin Imperial Maya resort was definitely one of the best in all of the area.

We stayed here for a week-long getaway in mid-December 2012. As others have described, the grounds are lush and beautiful, the food is A-plus, liquor is top-shelf, pool is beautiful, and service is fantastic. Good restaurant selection, but our favorite by far was the Mexican restaurant. Our other favorite for breakfast and lunch was the open-air palapa near the ocean. It had the beautiful breezes, great waitstaff, and the most incredible selection of buffet dishes you could have wanted. Fresh juices (celery! guava! banana-mango), french toast and pancakes, eggs prepared your way, fruits, meats, and grilled vegetables, and guacamole to die for. The other lunch buffet place near the main plaza had a huge dessert bar, though, so be sure to hit that up once or twice for all kinds of cakes and pies. Go early to the pool to claim a chair under the palapas or in the water: they are all gone by 10am...Swim-up bars were really fun. Plenty of activities going on (yoga, bike rides, ping pong tourneys, jazzy music at night to dance to), but at the same time the place had a sleepy feel to it. Perfect for what we were looking for, but definitely had more of the couples and honeymoon vibe going on than I was expecting. All of the waitstaff were incredible and attentive, and I felt like any additional tipping we did was appreciated rather than expected. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this place.

The pictures online don't do the resort justice. The beach is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the nightly entertainment is surprisingly very good. The circus show blew me away. The only thing the resort needs to improve on is their "gym." Only two treadmills, a couple bikes and some dumb bells. That probably isn't an issue with most vacationers though. I will be returning next year for Christmas.

Great service. Amazing beach. No complaints. Food was great. Best mojitos at the lobby bar, as well as awesome cappuccinos in the morning, or any time of day. Mexican restaurant was the best. Great breakfast. Overall lives up to 5 stars. Would def recommend.

The beach was beautiful but make sure you get out there early to get shade. The resort was beautiful and all of the staff were very friendly. I would defiantly go back. Men make sure you bring pants for the non buffet restaurants.

No complaints at all!!! The restaurants were exceptional as well as the staff and accomodations!! Well worth the money spent. It was our second trip to the Valentin Imperial and we will definitely be back!!!!

My friends and I were there for 7 nights. We attended the nightly entertainment and the music that was set up in the open area. We played pool in the sports bar, shopped, had our pictures made every day with the great animals that were brought in from an area zoo. We ate at all the restaurants- they were excellent! The place is beautiful beyond words!

We had an amazing experience at the Valentin Imperial. It was truly beautiful. The resort was very clean, beautifully landscaped, and offered a variety of activities for everyone!We enjoyed all of the pools and specifically enjoyed the pool with the lazy river, which is located by buildings 6, 7 , & 8. [...] makes the best drinks! If you like music and socialization the main pool is the place to be. The beach was clean, waitress service was available, and we never had a problem finding a chair. I loved that there was always bottled water available in coolers throughout the resort...you never had to wait to get a cold drink. The staff was very accomodating and so polite and fun!!!! We were traveling with 6 other people and not one complaint can be made. The dinner restaurants were delicious and we loved the fact that you did not have to make reservations. You were not a schedule and could really relax! We had an amazing room, which was clean, maid service was great, and we could walk out our patio doors and have the pool at our finger tips...Building #8. There is a lot of walking involved due to the fact that the resort is so big, but you can't complain when you get to walk through the exquisite landscaping and you get to see the amazing wild life right before your eyes. The staff is very, very friendly...don't be afraid to tip them...they deserve it! [...] is a great waiter at the buffer restaurant Mar...breakfast and lunch!!!!Overall we had an amazing vacation and will definitely be going back to the Valentin Imperial!
