Valentin Imperial Maya- Adults Only All Inclusive

Everything was great including the staff. I missed not being able to see the ocean from the pool but the surrounding jungle area was very pretty.

Overal great trip! Tons of restaurants to choose from an a very large resort. My room was fabulous..it was huge and clean! The staff was outstanding. My only complaints were that the pool bars closed too early and there was only 1 bar open until 2.

This vacation marked the first time my boyfriend of 4 years and i went on our own getaway. He took his time and did the research and Valentin is what he decided based on prices and reviews. We chose the privilege package and i'm not quite convinced that it was worth the extra $300. yes we had an amazing room with a balcony hot tub and we had the chance to make reservations at the restaurants but we sat in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting to check-in and when we got to the desk they realized we were privilege and took us to the privilege room. We had reserved beach seats but were sooo far from the bar & were placed directly in front of a 1/2 mile span of coral reef that we found chairs elsewhere. The pool was great! The staff was ordinary, nothing spectacular, except for our waiters at the hibatchi!!! (the hibatchi was by far our favorite!!) I would for sure go back but before we return, i'd like to try other places!

Beautiful, clean, modern, excellent food. Would highly recommend.

No complaints at all!!! The restaurants were exceptional as well as the staff and accomodations!! Well worth the money spent. It was our second trip to the Valentin Imperial and we will definitely be back!!!!

Let me start off by saying that I travel with 3 other girls for a yearly trip to Mexico/Caribbean. We all read the reviews for the Valentin; I guess that is why we were so disappointed with our stay. We had reserved 2 Golden Jr. Suite rooms, but when we arrived at the hotel, the rude manager informed us that we did not reserve these rooms. For 3 hours we were on the phone with GOGO's and our travel agent to get the matter resolved. The manager at the front desk downgraded our rooms even though we could prove that we did indeed purchase the Golden suites. The following day, Valentin finally admitted to their mistake, but we were never placed in our reserved rooms. Throughout our whole stay we needed to be by my cell phone because our end was trying to rectify the problem. While we were at the pool, we found 2 other parties that this had happened to. Disturbing to say the least. How could all of the reviews posted be so good, yet we and 2 other parties that we know of, have such a horrible experience. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is nice, the other service people are nice, the beach is nice, and the pool is nice. But when you encounter a front desk staff that was rude, non-accommodating, and wrong, it is not worth any amount of money. We have been travelling since 1999 on these trips, and we have never encountered a problem such as this. Normally, if the hotel makes a mistake, they upgrade you...not the Valentin. At first, they would not admit that they were wrong. And once they did admit that they were wrong, we never received an apology or our confirmed rooms. In fact, it is 1 week after the vacation, and we are still in contact with our travel agent and GOGO's. I don't know if this will get posted because it is a negative comment, but please be aware, this hotel does not live up to all of the comments that you read. At first I thought that we were just having a bad experience, but when we found out that we were not alone in how rudely the front desk treated us and did not accommodate our reservation, we knew it was a problem bigger than just our reservations for 2 Golden Jr. Suites. I urge you not to stay at this establishment. You might get lucky and encounter no problems, but then again, you could be like us and others that were vacationing there and have problems. Problems in itself are not bad, but when the hotel does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to rectify the problem, well then, that is a whole different problem. Whenever you are spending the type of money that you are...you deserve the reassurance that the staff at the hotel will do anything that they can to make your stay a pleasant experience. This hotel will not do that. Please look elsewhere. You deserve to be treated wonderfully and you can experience that at other hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean. Two places I can recommend in Mexico: Iberostar Maya and Adventura. As far as the Caribbean: hands down Marriott in Aruba. Enjoy

This is our second time staying at the Valentin and our expectations were more than met the second time around. The staff and grounds are beautiful and the specialty restaurants were outstanding. Some of the best sushi we've ever had. Would consider going back and third time.

OUR TRIP TO CANCUN...the couple we were vacationing with used their credit card to book an excursion with Best Day tours which has their office within the hotel VALENTIN IMPERIAL MAYA RESORT 5 STARS hhhhmmm iIDONT THINK SO in the main lobby, Our friend received a phone call from her credit card company and told her that her credit card was being used by someone other than herself and cancelled it to protect her from further fraud.After contacting the front desk they said it was out of their control and would not help at all, furthermore they told her she needed to use that same credit card to pay the remaining balance that was due, the manager then proceeded to say you know your friends have money and they must help you, we simply asked if they could call Best Day and please find out what can be done they said no but handed us the phone and told us that it was our responsibility, as the discussion went on the manager finally said if you can pay the balance you might have to sit on the curb and wait for a taxi, and maybe one of the bell boys will find a place for you to take a shower, i can go on and on but there is not enough time or space on this page, only thing I would say is stay away from Valenti Imperial Maya and Best Day tours and spend more time visiting the USA now I know why everyone is trying to come here I never thought I would HAVE to say I LOVE MY COUNTRY AND GLAD TO BE HOME... GOD BLESS THE USA

My husband and I took a 5 day vacation to MX and stayed at the VIM. It was amazing! The grounds were gorgeous and the staff were very accomodating and helpful! the food was delicious!! We didn't have to wait long at any restaurants we went to. I'd have to say the Hibachi @ Ginger was fun and yummy!! The staff were very good at getting drinks to you in a timely manner. it was even quicker and stronger if you tipped well :) $1 can go a long way I guess. I would definitely go there again and recommend for anyone!

We have stayed in an emerald room at the Valentin Imperial for two years in a row and have had a great time both years. The resort is large enough to have everything you need but small enough to walk around in. The restaurants and food are fantastic. The beach is clean and the on beach bar service is great. The shows are what you expect at a resort. The thing we like best about the Valentin Imperial is the staff and service. They couldn't be any more friendly and helpful then they already are. They make you feel like family from the moment you pull up and they greet you with "Welcome home" to the moment you leave. They make you feel like friends while still treating you like a customer. We can't wait to go back!!
