Valentin Imperial Maya- Adults Only All Inclusive

From start to finish, this was our best vacation ever! The resort was absolutely beautiful. There were wonderful activities, but we chose to just relax (which was SO easy to do!) The staff was so accommodating and friendly...they went out of their way in everything they did to make sure our stay was perfect. Whatever we wanted, they made sure it happened. Our room was absolutely perfect! Definitely could not have been better! Our only complaint was that we didn't book a longer stay! (But we are already making plans to go back as soon as possible!!!) Now we know why they always say "welcome home!"

We booked this as a celebration for our 10 year wedding anniversary- we emailed them a week before and let them know and we had a nice surprise waiting in our room upon arrival. Our room was great- we went with the golden jr. suite and had plenty of space. The beach was awesome - my husband played sand volleyball for hours. The staff was great and would do anything you asked them to. The food was very good- and I'm a pretty picky eater- and the drinks were great. We are already planning our return visit because we had such a great time. Highly recommend!

This was our second trip to the Valentin. We were so pleased when we visited last year that we chose to go back to the same resort instead of trying something "new" for this vacation. I am sad to say that we were somewhat disappointed as things seemed to have changed since our last visit. Don't get me wrong, the resort is beautiful. The service was wonderful EXCEPT at the front desk/ reception area. It was our experience there that tainted the entire experience of our trip. Let me first say that we are not huge complainers. However, on the 3rd morning of being awakened at 6:30 am by hammering and banging we decided we had had enough. We went to the front desk to ask what was going on and if anything could be done. They did not admit to knowing of any construction and basically looked at us like we were crazy. After my husband informed them he had seen the workers and knew which room they were working in they said they would "file a complaint". On the 4th morning it happened again. I was so frustrated that I immediately dressed and went back to the desk. I was then told that the complaint had been filed but there was nothing they could do because the workers were hired construction workers and not Valentin employees. Therefore, they could not mandate what time they started working. REALLY, I was flabergasted. The only option given was for us to move rooms after 3pm. I was not thrilled to have to spend a good part of my vacation day packing and moving to a new room. Had we been offered an upgrade at this time it might have made it worth the trouble. However, we were told this was not possible, we would be moved to the same category room. Later we were propositioned to upgrade for a "discounted" price. This is not how service should be at a 4/ 5 star resort. It really did put a damper on the entire trip and our overall feeling about the resort. On a positive note, the food was some of the best we have had at similar resorts. The beach and pool areas are very nice. For the most part it is a very relaxing resort, if you don't mind being woken up at 6:30 every morning......

This was a beautiful resort. The grounds were gorgeous. The setting of the resort at times made you feel like you were in a tropcial forest. The rooms were great. We stayed in the Emerald suites (honeymoon suite) Building 14 room 205 within 50 feet of Mar restaurant and next to the path to enter the beach. Room service was great, even included a bottle or 2 or wine if you wanted. The sand was plush and the water was clear. Many restaurants to choose from. All bars had premium liquors. The pool was enormous. This is defintely the place to stay. Best vacation ever.

We traveled with a group of 14 members and although we came from different parts of the country and arried at different times, the hotel was able to put us all in the same building and floor.

From the moment you step foot on the lush tropical grounds you experience a once in a lifetime vacation. The restaurants and food serve five star fresh food and culinary experiences. The staff is so appreciative of your business they ALL go the extra step to ensure you are well attended. The bars serve unlimited cocktails at all hours with drinks you would never think of. The grounds are impeccably manicured and the entire complex is much larger and expansive then you could ever imagine. This is a resort - not a hotel! The beach is right there with its own bar. Plenty of activities but this place is built to sit back, rest, read, eat, and drink! Can't beleive this was all available at this cost - can't imagine ever staying anywhere else. Once again PARADISE!

This is an outstanding resort. We just returned from our 5th visit and have #6 scheduled in May. The rooms are beautiful, food fantastic and a staff that is second to none!

The stay was very nice and peaceful however It was not as expected. The rooms were very clean Staff was nice people were great... Food on the Other hand awful. Entertainment needed major Improvement and service slow. This hotel looks Gorgeous and the hype involving the hotel Is what let me down. I had my brother and his Girlfriend go here as well and they to expected more!

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. The resort was beautiful. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff and handed cool facial towels and a glass of champagene! We were told to sit and relax in the beautiful lobby until our name was called for check-in...much better than standing in line with your belongings. All staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed dining at the various restaurants and the food was very good; we especially enjoyed the French and Japanese restaurants.The bar service was fantastic. Our room was comfortable and well maintained. The beach and pool were fabulous. The grounds were beautiful with winding walkways through natural habitat. I would definitely recommend this resort!

We have stayed at 4 All inclusives in Mexico, and this was definitely the best. The food was definitely a highlight of the trip, especially Ginger (Asian). There is also Sushi available in Don Miguels bar, which is the best bar for before and after dinner drinks. Gabriella and Israel make the best margarita's. As many other reviews stated, the pool is definitely cold. Don't miss the fire show.
