Magic Blue Hotel & Lounge - Adults Only

We used to LOVE this hotel, due to the friendly staff and great amenities. HOWEVER, this stay was totally different from anything we had known in the past. We did not have: hot water, a working hairdryer, and a telephone. They did fix the satellite dish, so we did have a TV. The water is not potable, but they did provide an 8 oz. bottle of water for the day. The reception staff that I remember is long gone. The reception clerk and the doorman laughed and talked most of the time. It seemed that it was an imposition to interrupt them. We won't be interrupting them again.

-Sight See -They were very cheap with the Shampoo and Bodywash. - Very good. We enjoyed the peaceful place of Magic Blue. Very Tranquil.

There are no phones in the room however the front friendly reception service makes up for this as it is opened 24/7. Be sure to use the safe in the room for cash even if you are leaving for only 20mins. The location is great and easy walking distnace to everything. The buffett breakfast that is included was fantastic. Even though it is opposite Coco Bongo I couldn't hear any noise. Really liked the place.

The hotel was ok. It was quiet but the room could have been cleaner. Also there was no hot water. We had to take freezing cold showers.

located just off the beaten path,it's like stepping into a different world when you enter the hotel. the courtyard was exotic, quiet and gorgeous!

Hotel was very quiet, clean, and an oasis. Every time we walked into the courtyard, we were amazed how quiet and peaceful it was. At least 1/2 the street noise if not 1/4. And the grounds are absolutely perfectly kept.

This was a very friendly hotel with beautiful landscaping and clean accommodations. We were always greeted warmly and given great service. The restaurant next door that served breakfast also did a wonderful job.

This is a great hotel to stay at while in Playa. The rooms are very clean, the staff is very professional and helpful as well. The pool area one of the best we have found. The only down side to the hotel is that it can be noisy at night due to the clubs around it.

We wanted a non-resort hotel in Playa Del Carmen - and Magic Blue is a fantastic solution. Located in the heart of the district, you can walk to almost anything in a few minutes. No glamerous drive up, but once inside the lobby and the main grounds you feel like you're on a tropical island. Upstairs room with a thatched ceiling, wonderful bed and fixtures, staff were always helpful, and the pool was lovely. Wife had the free 5 minute massage and I purchased the 30 minute sport massage - excellent masseuse, reasonable price. There is no restaurant on site, but they're partners with the Brazillian restaurant next door for breakfast and food at the pool. Highly recommend for travelers who don't want a Disneyland type resort and want a very tranquil environment, but close to all.

Great location, one block from 5th ave. Local noise didn't bother much, great pool and bar. I'd come back there again.
