Hotel Quinto Sol

We are your basic couple and we both agree that from a rating of one to five at best this hotel is a one and even that is pusing it. The best thing about this hotel was it location but that was it. As for that FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFEST... [...]. There is no free continental breakfest unless you love to eat bugs, becuase they were all ove the place. Look, there are so many hotels in that one location, pick anyone of them. Sure the staff was nice, but they had to be to comp for everything else. Early to bed early to rise, don't even try, to much noise from the street of from the paper thin walls. Will I even go back to this hotel? Three thing I check for: clean and quite rooms, plumbing that works and terms and conditions are forfilled. Have to say not one of the three were forfilled. So the anwer is, no I would not go back. As for that hot tub on the roof, what a joke.

It was a cute hotel, but it was located right on 3rd street, and it was kinda noisy at night. But I would stay there again!

The room was a good size but the cleaning needs help, there is a jacuzzi but it is very cold so we were not able to use it. The staff is very friendly and they help as much as they can.

Great location, average hotel,very good hotel staff

We only stayed for a night until I could check in to a time share in Riviera Maya. The only complaint I have is that there was no hot water. I got there before check in time and had no problem checking in early. It was about a block away from the beach and the location was right on 5th avenue which was supposed to be the hip location. I would recommend it to anyone.

the hotel quinto sol was enough comfortable, the room seemed large with a little kichnette and a table and two chairs.the bathroom was normaly . the location was very good because is near the downtoun but very quiete, and there were restaurants very close.

While I was only there one night, I'd go back. The hotel could be called Old Mexico in decor. It was about three blocks from a lovely beach, a Starbucks across the street, and walking distance to restaurants and shops in Playa De Carmen. The room was large, with a small table two chairs, hot plate and fridge, and a lovely tiled shower!

The only thing for me was missing was the pool , the rest was exelent.

staff friendly and helpful. great location on 5th avenida! no street noise, but walls a little thin, but fellow guests (neighbors) in PDC to party. outside atrium feel of hotel was unique because of tree that grows from ground (center) lobby up through all floors. all private rooms' doors face towards giant tree. sometimes felt like in deluxe treehouse. while openness is unique and always felt safe, management didn't have key for room safe. staff did aplogize. no attitude from staff. amenities get a three because of no safe key. excellent A/C shower hot and powerful would defintely stay again.

This hotel is a nice find. It's small and charming and the location (on the main drag 5th Avenue) is an added bonus. It's also a 10 minute walk from the beach!
