This hotel had a much higher posted official price (1400 pesos) compared to their own prices offered online at the hotel's own website and at Orbitz (only 600 pesos). They briefly argued over the price with me, and on top of that, they did NOT
have my Orbitz reservation when I arrived. The woman at the office told me their reservations were sent by fax from their central office, and that none had arrived. Also, the hotel receptionist was not aware of who Orbitz was!! In any case, they did accept my reservation and the price paid thru Orbitz (600 Mexican pesos per night).
I was confused by the reservation, however, since I did not know, until after I arrived at this hotel, that the credit card number I used was only used to HOLD the reservation, and not pay for the hotel stay.
The hotel was relatively new but designed in a beautiful traditional style of this area of Mexico. However, the location was not at all central to this historic part of town, and I would not recommend the restaurant other than the included breakfast.
