This is a nice motel, with good staff, and a good resturant. It is conveniently located on the main road from Morelia, and about 2 km from the downtown squares (Plaza Grande; Plaza Chica); a 25 peso cab fare (12/09). It's OK, but just OK.
heaters were needed at New Years, and they worked. The room did not have potable water, but a bottle was provided each day. Stay again? Probably not.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Around Grand Plaza there are all sorts of shops, mostly bad. Take a short walk to Casa de los Once Patios (House of 11 Courtyards), and find excellent quality, only surpassed, in price, by going out to the towns and villages where the originals are produced. You may find better quality here, or in the Casa de las Artesanias in Morelia. The price, however goes up the further away from the source.
