Everything was very good and as advertised. There were no real surprises or "gotchas" between the pictures and write-up's compared to reality like you get at some other resorts. Suites were large and wonderful. Best We've seen in Mexico. Grounds were clean and pretty. Food was very good; pool was warm and large, swim up bar was nice and staff overall was helpful and friendly. Only negatives: Service in restaurant is terribly slow. Every dinner took over 2 hours (too long with kids)! There is a 15% service charge for every room service dining (even with "all-inclusive) which was not clearly explained. Got to love unlimited room service, though!!! Parent note: Aside from the pool and beach, there are not a ton of things for young kids to do.

The condos were wonderful as were all the facilities. The food was lacking but maybe that is just Mexico. I would recommend Villa La Estancia to anyone. I would not do the all inclusive food package. Wonderful staff,very friendly.

Villa La Estanica is an amazing Resort and Spa. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for some peace and quiet. It is about 30 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta and a walking distance to Bucerias. We loved our stay there our only regret was participating in the Timeshare program to get the discount. The 10% off was not worth the 3hours of vacation time. They tell you it only takes an hour, but it takes longer - DON'T DO IT for any deal.

Villa La Estancia was incredible all the amazing reviews were true. With high expectations due to other reviews read online VLE came through with great people, service and food. The room was very clean and classy with a great balcony and breathtaking view to go with it. We did the all inclusive and it was like none other place we've been to. Coming from a home where my father is a Professional Chef for over 30 yrs working in Beverly Hills his whole life and my mother a cook for 26 years I can say this all inclusive was like none other the Food and Drinks were AWESOME not bland and pitiful like most other all inclusive resorts. Only one thing I could think of needed attn and most may not considering its a vacation spot, but I'm a big techy and the int is something I like to use more than most and it was rather difficult since there was no WiFi in our room, the signal would only reach the pool area. I commented and recommended solutions for this so hopefully they will take action. For those who carry laptops there are Ethernet connections in each room, but for most that like using more sophisticated pieces of equipment that only use WiFi you'll have to hang out by the pool. To finish this review I have to recognize the concierge that took care of everything we could possibly want her name is Liliana Lagos and she was amazing from booking our excursions to answering our smallest questions she made us feel right at home.

Great resort but could use some simple fixes. - the all-inclusive is the best option, but they still make you sign for everything, which is a drag - the hotel needs an activity agent, because the front desk knows very little about the activites

We had a wonderful stay at Villa La Estancia - Nuevo Vallarta. A few complaints we have were the following: (1) Pool Bar Service was fine when you are in the lower level of the Pool area where servers can see you but if you are on the other side of them or the upper level-- the servers hardly go up there and you WAIT and WAIT for service. What we gathered was the servers were instructed by the Pool Bar manager to concentrate and provide service to the customers that are seated at the dining area, even if we had flagged them a few times already. We believe the service should be equally provided everywhere and anywhere you are in the pool area. The manager should not let customers wait for a long time. 20 minutes is a long time to wait for a food service, it was unacceptable and very frustrating. The servers were fine (Manuel and Mavi) and apologetic however they can't accommodate us as much as they want due to manager's instructions. (2) The Pool Concierge was also not much of a help, his service was also concentrated to the lower section of the pool making you feel that the rest of the guests didn't matter. (3) Some staff are not knowledgeable and inconsistent with infomration. (4) The bed is hard and the pillows are too soft (almost no support) made it hard to sleep. On the bright side: The property is beautiful and clean. Garden is well manicured but it gets very windy in the afternoon. We enjoyed the friendly staff [...] and [...] at front desk are great as well as [...] and [...] at the Pool Bar; we also love the ladies that cleaned the room daily and provided the turn down treats... they are very nice and efficient.

This hotel is fabulous,its our second time back and it did not disappoint! The hotel is situated on a beautiful strech of beach, the facilites are great, and well maintained. The rooms are beautiful, we were on a high floor over looking the ocean, all rooms face ocean or pool. The staff is first class there is very friendy and can not do enough to serve you. Given the price its a steal. Only negatives are you can not check in until 4- 4:30 , relaxing by the pool is fine.

Check in time was 4 PM. We didn't get into our rooms until 5:30 PM. They told us to come back to the front desk at 4 PM. We came back at 3:45 PM and they told us to come back at 4:30 PM. We came back at 4:40 PM and they told us to come back at 5:15 PM. Dining options were limited so we inquired about all inclusive. They were not very helpful about the all inclusive. Finally we did all inclusive but at the sister resort right next door. They checked us out before we had lunch on the last day even though they said that they wouldn't.
