Good place but not for food connoisseurs

This is a good and safe place. The best feature is the sandy and clean beach.Swimming is great there. Don't expect much from the food .If you have the all-inclusive plan you will be restricted to a one general restaurant where you can have breakfast lunch and dinner & another informal one for snacks and "Italian" dinner. The quality of the food is not high cuisine and you should pay attention with temperature and cooking of some dishes (specially meat, fish and poultry).Just ask the waiter to change what you don't find O.K.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Bucerias is a nice and cute small town at 10-minutes drive from this hotel. You will find good shopping there with reasonably priced jewelry and authentic restaurants. If you like night life try the local Cuban dancing bar.Be prepared to dance, have great drinks and enyoy sharing with great salsa dancers there. You may be back home knowing some new moves!

Excellent Option

Excellent option for families with small children. The beach is great and so is the pool. The staff is very friendly providing very good service, from the bell boy to the guy on the beach who was always ready to provide us with anything needed to watch the kids comfortably on the beach.

Not air conditioned for your comfort!

The hotel is really nice, great services, friendly staff with spacious rooms. The only thing I didnt like was that the only place the air conditioner seemed to work was our room. Everywhere else was humid including the restaurants and lobby. It was hard to breath while sweating in the humidity and trying to eat at the restaurants was uncomfortable because we just wanted to get out quickly and go to the room to cool off. When i was in the lobby i asked why the air conditioner was not on. They responded that it was on but that the room was too big to feel it. It was overall cooler outside than it was in the lobby! The other thing that was kinda gross were the little flying bugs all over certain types of food when the restaurant did buffets for breakfast and dinner.

Unbelieveable resort

This property was outstanding, totally immaculate, outstanding service, totally relaxing. Most amazing friendly Mexican people I have ever met. You had the best of all worlds, ocean, amazing pool, theme nights, parasailing a visit to the pool by "Jenny" a sea lion. The food was OK not bad but not great. My wife and I travelled with two other couples and had an outstanding time. We never left the resort all week........ One of the best trips we've taken. Will definately return

More than we expected!

First resort visit. Recommended by a friend. It was everything we imagined. Very relaxing. If you are interested in night life, it may not be the place for you, but for sun and relaxation and excellent accommodations and service, I highly recommend it. Other locales easy to visit via taxi service as well!

It doesn't get much better than here!

It is definitely a bit quieter up in Nuevo Vallarta, but we absolutely loved this hotel. We had the 2 bdr suit which gave us plenty of room. The rooms all have a great view and are very nice with marble floors and baths, and a full kitchen with laundry. The food is a bit overpriced at the two restaurants, but the poolside service was fairly priced and the market was a nice help. The pool is huge and we never had to fight for space. Plenty of activities to do if you choose. Plus the ocean is beautiful. The timeshare thing takes about 3 hours - don't do it unless you really want to. Typical high pressure nonsense. Otherwise a great place that we would say at again.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Go to Bucerias ($7 cab ride) for your dinners and shopping. There are some great inexpensive restaurants. It is much cheaper and less touristy than Puerto Vallarta. Our favorites were El Brujo (on the water) and Rogas up on the hill. They both had tremendous food, a great view and were fairly priced. There is also a great flea market in Bucerias that is open from 10-4. Make sure you haggle and you can save about 50% form the asking prices!
