The elegant RIU Palace Pacifico All Inclusive Resort offers a total vacation experience near Puerto Vallarta on Mexico's Pacific coast. best place for couples
the best place I have ever been all is close ,plus the pool was heating and you can going at the other riu there are close.The staf are very friendly and professionnel.the food is perfect

Great All Inclusive
We had a family trip at the RIU Palace and it was awesome. THe best part of this place is the people. THe service staff is very friendly and attentive, especially the waiters. I really enjoyed the professional interactions and their patience with my broken Spanish. The infinity pool and beach were awesome. It combined the right amount of relaxing at the pool with activities in the water like body boarding, kayaking, and the occassional person approaching you to go jet skiing or para-sailing. The nighttime entertainment varied, but my favorite show was the Michael Jackson show. It was really fun! I also liked the 24 hour sports bar and the ability to get some snacks there at any time. THe room service (also 24-7) was great, too. I've never been to an all-inclusive, but I would suggest getting a bunch of $1-$5 bills before you go. I was constantly tipping the excellent staff for their good service and I wish I had changed more bills before I left. No surprises then, that the more you tip, the more consistent the service!

My favorite outing was the Vallarta Adventures 4 hour whale watching. Folks - this is the one to do. We had [...]as our guide. SHe is essentially a marine biologist who happens to earn her money leading tours. She knew everything about the humpback whales and on our trip (In FEB - the best time), we saw 5 whales and a mom and calf breeching. We also saw a turtle and a manta ray. The boats were comfy (except the no-bathroom-for-4-hours!) and the staff was awesome. Breakfast was included (which was a nice surprise) and they even offered us water on board. This is the route to go and well worth your time and money.

Great Vacation
We spent 6 days at this resort in January and had a wonderful time. The resort was absolutely beautiful, just like the pictures, and very clean. The entire staff was kind and friendly and very helpful with whatever we needed. The food was delicious, especially the specialty restaurants. I would highly recommend this resort! It was much more than we expected and we certainly plan to return in the future.

VERY GOOD HOTEL AND EMPLOYEES
PUERTO VALLARTA DOES NOT HAVE MUCH TO SEE, SO WE ONLY VISITED THE CITY ONE AFTERNOON. WE STAYED AT THE HOTEL THE REST OF THE TIME, 9 NIGHTS. THIS HOTEL IS THE BEST OF THE RIUs IN PVR. THE BUFFETS AND RESTAURANTS ARE VERY GOOD, ALTHOUGH THE SEAFOOD WAS LESS THAN FRESH ABOUT 20% OF THE TIME. IE. ONE SHRIMP OUT OF FIVE WOULD NOT BE GOOD. SAME WITH THE MUSSELS. DESSERTS WERE THE USUAL, ADEQUATE ALTHOUGH NOT OF HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS. BUT PRETTY! A LOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. THE ICE CREAMS AND FRUIT WERE BETTER ALTERNATIVES. THE QUACAMOLE RESTAURANT IS THE BEST OF THE FOUR RESTAURANTS. THE HOTEL ENTERTAINMENT IS OK SOME NIGHTS AND GREAT OTHER NIGHTS. POOL IS VERY NICE, BUT THE DANCERS AND LOUD ANNOUNCER DAILY AT 3:OO PM WAS VERY ANNOYING. WE NOTICED ONLY ABOUT 15 PEOPLE PAID ATTENTION TO THEM EACH DAY, SO, MANAGERS, WHAT'S THE POINT? THE BEACH IS NICE, THE WATER COLD AND MURKY. TO THEIR CREDIT THE BEST PART OF THE HOTEL ARE THE EMPLOYEES. 100% FREINDLY AND READY TO DO THEIR BEST TO PLEASE. AND THE BUILDING ITSELF IS NEW AND VERY NICE, ALTHOUGH A BIT QUIRKY IN THE DECOR. IE. BRASS FANS IN THE LOBBY, AND ROMAN AND GREEK STATUES IN THE GARDEN. OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE IS ABOUT AS GOOD AS ONE CAN HOPE FOR FROM AN ALL INCLUSIVE. WOULD I IN HINDSIGHT VISIT AGAIN OR REFER THIS HOTEL, THE ANSWER IS YES!

IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE WHALES UP CLOSE AND SAVE TIME, WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE ABOUT 4-6 BOATS IN THE BAY ABOUT NOON. THIS HAPPENS DAILY. THESE ARE THE WHALE WATCHING BOATS THAT HAVE FOUND SOME WHALES. NOW GO TO THE BEACH AT THE HOTEL AND RENT A JETSKI FOR 2 FOR 35 MIN ($45) OR 60 MIN AND GO SEE THE WHALES! NO NEED TO SPEND HALF A DAY OR MORE ON A BOAT WITH WHO KNOWS WHO! SAVE TIME AND $$.

Perfecto!
We have been to Riu's in the past, but this was our favorite. The grounds were beautiful and clean and the staff was wonderful. They weather was perfect for lying at the beach or hanging out in the pool. The food was as expected, it gets bland afte a few days. The drinks wee great! The only thing we would add is a heated outdoor jacuzzi. It would also be bette if dining or shopping wee a bit closer to the hotel. It was a $9 taxi ride to Paradise Village and a $25 taxi ride to Puerta Vallarta. Overall our trip was excellent!

Great vacation getaway
The hotel ws pristine. Someone was always cleaning. Beautiful ocean views. Everything was perfect. My wife and I will be back!!

Eat, drink, walk. Enjoy the beautiful wide beach! Took the whale tour. Walked downtown!
