Friends getaway
I had a great time at RIU staff were great and attentive. Place was beutiful and clean at all times. The staff are doing a great job and try to accomodate everyone, very friendly and welcoming. I will definetely will go back to this hotel.

Riu Palace Pacifico was Excellent
Just returned from Riu Palace Pacifico and we had a wonderful time, we have traveled all over Mexico, Carribbean,Europe, etc. and honestly the Riu palace is on our top ten list. The hotel is immaculate, staffers cleaning constantly and the staff works so hard to keep you happy, they are always smiling and do a great job at everything. The buffet (la peninsula) was by far better then the other all inclusives we've stayed at and the waiters there are awesome. The Guacamole was the best reservation only restaurant but the others were good as well. Don't be discouraged when you pull up to the hotel and it looks a bit dated, once you step inside you will see how beautiful it is and how wonderful the staff is. Take some money to tip these hard working people not only do they deserve it but a tip will ensure you never have to ask for a refill on a drink or much of anything else. We never had problems finding pool chairs, the beach was nice and swimmable and although there were some children present, it wasn't overwhelming as some reviews stated. Ask for a room on the 8th floor and you won't regret it. Stay here, take some tip money, grab a cocktail or a fruit smoothie and relax...also Room service is fast, delicious and friendly..literally no complaints about this hotel....we stayed at a more expensive hotel a few years back and it didn't compare to the Riu...book it, you won't regret it!!!

Please take some $ and tip your staffers, they work so hard and it's terrible how few people tip. I'm from Los Angeles and the waiters, bartenders etc. don't work a fraction of how hard these people do and yet they automatically get 20%....think of it that way...

Great value and a ton of fun. The staff is fantastically friendly and accomodating. Definitely worth the money, and trip. Only wish is that it was closer to the city. Don't forget to hit up the Roy Jalisco down the beach. There is a fun nightclub in the hotel and it is also all inclusive!

Quick getaway!
My husband and I wanted to getaway for a few days. I picked the RIU. This is our second trip to Puerto Vallarta and it was the best. This is a beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a wide variety of food, if you left hungry then it was your fault! The room was always clean and plenty of towels. My only problem was that there was no adults only pool. The children were permitted in the swimup bar. We could never get to it for the children. The shows at night were kind of loud, we could hear it from our room. These were the only problems we had. We will definatly be returning to the RIU Palace Pacifico.

tremendous value,fanastic staff
have stayed at 10 other riu hotels in mexico, this one is great. all the staff from the entertainment staff, bartenders and waiters were super friendly and helpful. the head lady of the resort, [...] was super accomodating, the young lifeguard,[...], was great, in fact he saved a young hispanic boys life who had virtually drowned, but [...] worked on him for 5 minutes and brought the kid back to life. the parents wereon the beach, 100 yards from the incident in the pool. had two great beach parties during the week.the staff constantly had my wife and myself dancing. the michael jackson show one night was very,very good.if you like to drink, order doubles or dobles, and you will never complain about watered down cocktails. food in the buffet was better than most and the sspecialty restaurant ,[...] was fantastic.would highly recommend staying here. we will go back

Simply perfect!!!
Best vacation ever. All inclusive was the way to go. Good variety of restaurants & no trouble getting reservations when needed. Couldn't have asked for better service at all of the restaurants. My glass was never less than 1/2 full. Stayed there for 8 nights and ate every meal on site. Stayed in the suite and was not disappointed. Great room, great ocean view and used the balcony jacuzzi every night. No problem using free wifi in lobby. There were activities at hotel & pool loungers were easy to find. $25 cab ride to town, but we took bus each time for about $2 each way. Easy to locate buses since RIU is end of line, it's printed right on bus windshield. Wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

very nice
This was our first all inclusive. Very nice, very clean, very friendly - top of the line staff and services. Food did not live up to the service and amenities but not bad.
