Could have been amazing!
Lines when we got to check-in. After hour in line they gave us a dungeon room with little ventilation and windows at grade. We were told it was busy and this was an upgrade. Really!! My husband wouldn't stay there after taking off for 4 days and flying for 3 hours, no dungeon for him. He was now ready to check out. Back to the desk. This time the staff found a top floor, ocean view room with a private spa and deck. Of couse we thought the deck and spa were for another room, but they said no. Wow! We were surprised and thought, deliver more than you promise, then everything is great! The location of the room was great, but the place needs freshening up. It really feels dated and yes there are bugs that munch on you. Not in the room but near the shuffle board area. It's been 2 weeks and my bites are still itching... Don't know if we will return there, although the beach is grand!!!

Amazing Hotel; Pricey food;
One of the best rooms I've ever stayed at. Beautiful view, spacious, excellent beds. This is not an all inclusive resort, I didn't think to research food and drink prices before going. It was definitely more than I expected, spent over $100 on 4 adult buffet dinners. Later I realized everyone brings their own food since all rooms have a beautiful fully stocked kitchen. I blame my ignorance on this and would look forward to staying there again.

great
We have been to P.V at least 35 times, have stayed at many hotels rated 4 stars or better. Why Paradise Village is rated 3 stars is questionable, this is the best hotel that we have stayed at, as we have been there the last 6 times speaks for it self. Service is great, location is what it is all about. Can not say enough good things you just have to try it for yourself.

While they have great dining at hotel. there is also a huge shopping mall a short walk away, with many places to shop and dine also. Also Bus service right outside the hotel, to go to downtown P.V and also places like Sayulita which is great for surfing.

Great for families!
We had a room Studio room with a kitchenette which was quite spacious. There were two beds plus a couch, a table with chairs and a kitchen. I especially loved the convenience of the kitchen when traveling with children. We were in the COBA tower which was great. I would probably book a one-bedroom next time as I hear those come with a washer & dryer as well. The pools were fabulous – one “fun” pool, one quiet pool and one lap pool. The beach was fun – lots of kids to play with. The location is perfect. There is a little grocery store behind the resort where you can get everything you need. There is also a Starbucks, McDonalds and a Subway if your kids won’t eat traditional Mexican fare. The only thing I hadn’t accounted for was the charge to use the fitness facilities. It’s approximately $13/day or there is a flat fee if your use it all week. It can get up there if two of you want to work out on a daily basis. Also, watch out for everyone trying to sell you a time share! Great vacation, priced very well – we would most certainly book this resort again!

GREAT RESORT BUT CHOOSE ROOM CAREFULLY!
This is a beautiful resort with a fantastic staff! We really loved our stay. The only problem was the first room we were put in. We reserved a room with a queen or king bed with a balcony. Our first room has two twin beds, the pictures were missing on the wall, some kind of repair had been made poorly on the opposite wall, there was only a small shower, the trim was falling off the wall and the smell in the room was terrible. The second room was better but the bed was very hard and the room still smelled. (nothing two cans of air freshener couldn't fix) We were with a large group and saw some of the other rooms at the resort. Those rooms were great and did not have the foul smell. Try to stay away from Tinino Towers!

Timeshare exchange
Overall was good. Few maintenance issues not fixed for 3 days. Fire alarm went off every night at 03AM in our room. Wait staff on the beach and near pool was almost non-existent. Got our own beverages and food. Front desk and phone staff very nice and helpfull. Villa kitchen supplies was very limited, no paper towels, soap, salt/pepper shakers, dish soap to run dishwasher. Grounds and rooms very clean. Walking distance to stores, mall, bank, bus stop. Need to keep the beach venders away from guest on beach, get very repetitive all day. Plenty of beach chairs and palapas for everyone.

Nice Resort - Friendly Staff
The resort was quite nice and the hotel room was in good condition. I had read some reviews saying there was a lot of time share pressure, but we didn't experience that. The first day a lady met with us and explained about the activities and restaurants and such and offered some specials if we wanted to take a tour. We told her we aren't timeshare people and that was that. No one else bothered us about it. The food was fairly good but expensive. The worst thing was that you had to wear a non-removable wrist band the whole time which screams tourist when we left the property and drove me crazy to sleep and shower in. I felt like I was under house arrest. Other than that, I would recommend this place. We got an awesome package deal [...], so the price definitely was worth it.
