Very Good Stay Overall

Located one block from the the Central Plaza and surrounded by beautiful shops and European-style cafés, Hotel Alameda was an over-all great experience. The only minor drawbacks were in the bathroom, where the lighting was not very good and the all-marble modern shower could be a safety problem for the elderly. However, a bench was installed in the shower just for this purpose but I imagine it could still be a challenge for some. Very courteous and prompt service. I would definately stay there again. Housekeeping was a bit noisy outside the room, which was located next to the supply closet, but I was probably very sensitive to the noise as I had been out all night the night before on the Noche de Muertos tour.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Hotel Alameda is situated in the heart of beautiful Colonial Morelia. It is central to all shopping, dining, nightlife and cultural attractions. Two blocks away is TTM Tours, which I highly recommend for Michoacán sightseeing. Beautiful shops with local handicrafts are plentiful around the Plaza area.
