The front desk experience terrible customer service

Trying to extend the stay and no good answers, apparently they don't like to have people book by partners, they refuse to honor the rate, then when I mention that we had the internet package for 24 hrs and I have only use it for 2hrs they said okay no problem we will charge $ 65.00 pesos for those 2 hours versus $ 195.00 for 24hrs . So we check out and move to another hotel. All our worst experience was specifically from the front desk people even ask to speak to the supervisor I believe was worst, is like talking to a machine. So sad the such a nice hotel has a very poor customer service, definitively they are not aware of the GSI which rates the hotels. But a 100% to room service and valet they did awesome. minus 1% to the am supervisor and the lady on front desk.

Camino Real Monterrey

Very nice, modern design located in heart of key business area of San Pedro Garza Garcia. Would be overpriced at regular rates compared to more classic Safi Royal Luxury Valle right across the street, but was a great value at the Orbtriz prepaid sale price.

Good On-line deal

This is the hotel that my customer demands we stay at because it is in a "safe" zone of the city. Its an OK place to stay for business. I was actually able to get a better price thru on-line than my customers corporate rate was. People are nice and receptive to your needs. A great deal of them speak enough english fro Americans to get by on. The problem I have is the cost of the extras. A bottle of water is $5.50. A candy bar is $5.00. The internal resturants are decent but, again, expensive. The average meal was about $50 with tip. My average cost for the breakfast buffet was over $30 dollars. You are better off walking over to the shopping plaza next door. I would rate this hotel more accurately as a good 3 star hotel.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

If you want to go shopping use the connecting walkway between the hotel and the plaza. It opens at 11AM and closes at 8 PM. Saves a lot of walking.

Quick weekend trip

The hotel staff is friendly and quick. The rooms are starting to show their age, they need new rugs. Beds and pillows are the best of the best. Don't order room service! Or eat out there are a lot of nice restaurants outside and the ticket is decent. Will stay again.

Great view of the mountains

We just wanted a night away. This hotel is close to the Mall. If you get a room that faces the mountains it is beautiful to look at, especially at night.

Solution for those afraid of violence

I had several meetings and was happy to see that the hotel had areas and meeting rooms. Also, the hotel connects directly to a mall, and restaurants are at a walking distance, including starbucks. This is the safest sector in the whole city. I didn't have to rent a car or drive. The best location if you're traveling for business and security is a concern.
