For the price and the brand...
For the price and the brand, I guess a free wifi in your room would be nice: I hate those 5 star hotels that nickel and dime you for everything.

This is a Sheraton?
It is well known that hotels are not super clean, but the appearances make up go any lack of cleanliness. That said, the paint in the room was peeling from the ceiling. I am a male with a military haircut. There were long female hairs on the bed sheet. I have no clue how they got there. The window latch was hanging on by 1 screw. Internet is an extra cost. Roughly 200 pesos per day, or $21 USD. You can pay a taxi via credit card at the airport. You cannot get a taxi from the hotel to the airport without $300 pesos, or roughly $24 USD, in Mexican pesos. They will not assist you, so just have the pesos and no USD or credit cards. The keys demagnetize frequently. It happened to me a few times. No idea as to why, and it just got old. Be prepared to place a $300 USD or $3500 Mexican peso deposit if you want any type of room charges available. Final point : it was dirty, not helpful, falling apart, expensive, and a big waste of money. It was great that the angel of independence and the us embassy was there. I would recommend the raddison hotel that is close by, a 7 minute drive on avenue of the revolution. It was cleaner, free Internet, and actually is faithful to its raddison name and is what you expect.

Unpleasent surprise
This is the third time I stay at this hotel, the Location is excelent as well as the service, unfortunately, I believe is overpriced. The room maintenance is not good at all, the first time I stayed in this hotel the lavatory had some ugly stains and this time one of the lamps was broken and stained, plus the trash can was rusty. I believe that a Hotel of this category should pay more attention to this housekeeping details.

Best Location
This hotel has the best location you can ask for in Mexico City, right in front of the Angel of Independence. The building is old and a tad outdated, the bathrooms really could use some remodel work but everything else is fine. Staff extra friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Short walk from hotel
Go to Salon Corona on Reforma Ave. Walk about 2 blocks towards the Diana and you'll find it on the same side of the hotel. Great beer and food for cheap and the terrace overlooks Reforma.

A little run down but in a great location if you are in Mexico for business in the Centro. Amenities are good, connected to a Starbucks, good breakfast as well.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you need a taxi, get one off the street, hotel charges flat rates that are 2-300% higher. Get a regular taxi, anywhere won't be more than $10 US.

Great location & Gay Friendly!
Was in the city taking a class and really enjoyed the location of this hotel. The food options were subpar but the location was great! Should be noted this area is extremely gay friendly and there is a lot of nightlife options. Felt safe!

From the beel boy to the taxi drivers at the site, the people at front desk and etc were professional and friendly. The waiter [...] at the Italian restaurant in the second floor made my day. Excellent food, great drinks and best service.

Excellent Location
This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Mexico City's downtown business, dining, entertainment and cultural districts; all within walking distance from one another. The hotel itself is contemporary, modern, clean with a spectacular marble lobby and friendly service. The only problem I encountered was the hotel manager refused to offer any concessions after they had put me in a room where the bathroom sink and bath tub paints were chipping. In addition to my complaints of noise late in the evenings eminating from both sides of my room, they continued to declined any adjustments. I am going to contact the CEO of the Sheraton Properties at this point.

Short walk from hotel
For bargain shoppers, visit the vendors in the Alameda Park in the historical central district or mercado de artesanias de la ciudedela on Baderas and Donde Avenues where you can get good prices and negotiate anything from arts and crafts, clothes, jewelry and souvenirs. Please visit the tourist information center where they have a wealth of resources the hotel cannot provide.
