Fine for the price and location

The hotel is about 4-5 blocks from the heart of the Zona Rosa, a major enterntainment area, and the Insurgentes subway station, both very convenient. The rooms are adecuate, if a bit small, for for the price; especially if you are only going to spend most of the day outside and only shower and sleep in the room. I liked the flat screen TV, safe box, and the A/C. The staff was friendly, but since I speak Spanish, I don't know how good their English is. For food, they only have a breakfast buffet, that in my opinion is not worth the 97 pesos charge, but maybe living in Vegas has spoiled me. If the rooms were a little larger and the hotel was a couple of blocks closer to the Zona Rosa, it would have been better. Only important complaint is that on my online reservation, I requested 2 double beds and when I got there they had me ina one king bed room, but the next day they switched me to the right room.

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

Avoid the tour company that the hotel works with. We took the tour to the Teotihuacan pyramids and I end up translating for the non-Spanish speakers because the guide's English was SOOO bad, it was basically impossible to understand.

A quiet , back street location

This hotel is on the peripherals of the Zona Rosa in a quiet area of the town. This is good and bad because at least you can sleep peacefully at night, but the streets are poorly lit and maintained and can be a little intimidating for some. Though my reservation had not been received by the Hotel some 24 hours after confirmation ( some Australian guys had similar issues) they were prepared to accept my confirmation email as proof, whilst being friendly and courteous at all times. Not sure where the failure happened or if it had been resolved before my departure.

A taxi from the airport cost Mex$150 about US$15 but a local taxi hailed outside the Hotel , running the meter cost Mex$35 about US$3.50. Take the local taxis whenever you can.
