Elegant hotel combines history with modern amenities
This historic hotel opened in 1904 by and has hosted a number VIP guests in its day. Much of the history is showcased in a collection of photos displayed in the Golden Dome cafeteria. Vestiges of its past are reflected in the ornate French 19th-century-style architecture. Good Location whitin Mexico DF
The place has a very good location within Mexico DF. Located along Paseo de La Reforma and close to the famous Zocalo (Cathedral), with public transport conectivy (bus, metro, etc) Also de Breakfast buffet and foods were very good at affordable price.

There was no tv remote, or ironing board in room. The cabinet for the fridge and safe were broken.

Bad taste
We had a horrible experience with this place. Something was taken from my room, I told the front desk but never got the answer or the appology. They lost my reservation then tried to charge me the room all over again at check out, still ignoring to coment on my missing thing. Horrible situation, horrible service!! I will never go to this hotel again and I would never recomend it to anyone!

Very nice and comfortable
The hotel location is in the most beautiful avenue in Mexico city, downtown is very close and if you are staying on Sunday, the avenue is closed for cyclists.

There are theatres near the hotel and also plaza Garibaldi, where you can't miss the oportunity to enjoy mariachi all night long.

great location, poor service, outdated
Trouble with light. Had to call to have new bulbs put in. Great difficulty getting extra pillows. TV was substandard with service on might expect 10 years ago- no cable. Staff friendly and made efforts to be servicial. This is a beautiful hotel that needs a MAJOR upgrade in decor, carpets, and customer services.

La iluminación artificial (luz
La iluminación artificial (luz eléctrica) del hotel en general es muy tenue resultando difícil leer de noche e incluso verse en el espejo del baño a cualquier hora del día. La chapa de la puerta de mi habitación estaba dañada y a pesar de que cerraba daba una impresión de inseguridad y de descuido. Por lo demás, el hotel tiene una excelente ubicación y muy buen servicio. Definitivamente es una buena opción de hospedaje en México, D.F.

encore deux sejours ici et rien
