Great location

The staff was very helpful and there was always someone on duty who spoke good English. The hotel was unique due to its exhibits of artifacts and information about the Mexican Revolution. It was like a museum. Our room was large and comfortable and quiet. The hotel is located close to many attractions and great restaurants.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

The interior of the hotel is gorgeous, a bit old but really charming and eccentric. Wi-fi was a bit spotty in our room, but everything was clean and organized.

Short-term stay

The concierge, Ariel, is a real sweetie and so helpful. All staff were great and particularly the cleaning lady for my room 308. The beds were great and the sheets very soft. The hotel is right there in Zona Rosa. The night lift was pumping and police presence was heavy which is a good thing as you felt safe walking around at night.

1st Class

I have been staying at the Geneve since 1942. Through the years it has changed some good some bad. Our last trip was 2006 since then the hotel has undergone a complete face lift from top to bottom. Staff, facilities and atmosphere are 1st Class. Location is close to most everything. Neighbors is also changing for the better you now feel very safe. The hotel Conciege, Ariel Mendoza is most efficient, friendly and experienced. When in Mexico City this is "Our Casa".

First Rate

Since I was traveling Mexico with a friend I was able to stay in more expensive hotels than I stay at when I travel alone. The location even within the Zona Rosa could not have been better. One never escapes noise in Mexico City, but it wasn't bothersome inside the room, even with the window open. The concierge was absolutely wonderful and took care of 3 separate incidents that occured within the first 18 hours (just things that can happen to any one any where). He was so pleasant and gracious and so concerned over the 3 incidents that after having our room changed he sent up first a fruit bowl, then wine and flowers, and then had the flowers changed after several days. Great place.

Nice hotel

The Hotel Geneve was definitely a great hotel for the price. It would not be suited for a business traveler though since Wifi is extra and the signal in my room was not great either. Also, our room faced a busy street so if you don't like noise, I would request a room away from the street. This is in the middle of the Zone Rosa entertainment district, so don't expect quiet.
