Great location

The staff was very helpful and there was always someone on duty who spoke good English. The hotel was unique due to its exhibits of artifacts and information about the Mexican Revolution. It was like a museum. Our room was large and comfortable and quiet. The hotel is located close to many attractions and great restaurants.

Good place, better than many I have stayed at in the Zona Rosa

Pretty good hotel. I have stayed at about 5 others in Zona Rosa over the last 2 years. I would come back here over all the others. It is a quiet hotel and the wifi actually works throughout the hotel. This is rare in MX so if internet access is important to you this is a better sat than most hotels in this area.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

The interior of the hotel is gorgeous, a bit old but really charming and eccentric. Wi-fi was a bit spotty in our room, but everything was clean and organized.

Like staying in a museum

The hotel is beautiful, and full of history. And if you like to be in the middle of the action, the location couldn't be better. The hotel is in the zona rosa, surrounded by hundreds of bars and restaurants. It's two blocks away from beautiful Paseo de la Reforma and the Angel de la Independencia. You only need to walk a couple of blocks to hop on a turibus and go for a ride through the city, or take the metrobus. The restaurant was my one disappointment. Food is just OK. A waste of time/money/stomach space in a city that has so much to offer. The staff however gave us great recommendations for dining in the area.

Nice Central location

Very close to shops and the hotel itself is very nice - you're basically staying in a museum.

Beautiful historic hotel

Limited English speaking staff, however hotel staff are very nice. I appreciated their effort to arrange English speaking staff for me. Room 420 section had a continuous moderate motor vibration from outside, disturbing my sleep when I recovered from Montezuma revenge. Safe and good shopping location.

Historical Gem

The hotel has a fascinating history, the concierges are beyond helpful and can show off the special details of the hotel - if the book about famous items and visit by famous people doesn't fascinate you enough. The lobby is quite beautiful, it's refreshing just to sit there and take it all in. The stained glass and columned walkway past the cafe is a sight to behold. The rooms, though lovely color-scheme and unique furniture, were nothing fancy at all....particularly where we were set looking at the air vents and parking lot. But, it was a lovely stay nonetheless, and convenient to an amazing antique mall, metro, bars, and the Angel statue circle.

Go and check out the antiques a couple of steps down the street, perhaps the best antiquing in the city.
