Quality of the rooms are not the same
I am a regular customer for Fontan, price is fair and breakfast is included. The front desk service is good, the security is good, I mean, I have always recommended this location as is very close to downtwn and subway Hidalgo station connects you to all city. This last time, I was very dissapointed with the room they gave me in floor 8. Those rooms are not updated, very old (even the towels). I called to the reception to request a change of my room, but the hotel was full. I was not OK to pay the same rate for a good and standar room than a very low quality room in the same hotel!! I did request the change 3 times, there were not rooms available during the weekend. Since I prepaid and was not reimbursement, I had to "accept" that room. My trip was to celebrate my anniversary and the room did not help much, was kind of depressing! Al

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Take Hidalgo subway to El Zocalo and Palacio Nacional. Come back to the hotel walking to see Palacio de Bellas Artes and Museo Mural Diego Rivera. Monumento a la Revolucion is very close. Tortas Armando in the corner of this hotel are delicious! There is a Starbucks very close to the hotel. Airport taxi: 150 pesos (almost 12 dlls).

Everything was perfect ! Except the TV was very old. Well it doesnt bother me too much cos I dont use it. It was convenient that they have a iron place and instrument in the room, so for the next day meeting, I can get ready!!! Thanks

Greatest Budget Hotel!!
Location is awesome, Hotel very clean, breakfast buffet great for the money. The only, only drawback is the fact that the rooms facing Reforma are a bit loader than usual. If you mind noise bring earplugs. This is our sixth time here and will come back again!

Excellent
Of course it is not the most luxurious hotel.... However, great staff, great location... Strongly recommend. Bit noisy because of the street traffic... Just ask for a room on the other side of the Avenida....;)

No sleep in Mexico
No sleep in Mexico
We were given a room with a window by the main street, which was so loud with traffic noise, we hardly got a wink of sleep. Woke up tired. The vault inside our room for personal keepsakes, was broken, they said they would fix, but never did. No temperature controls for heat in room. Other than that, the room was clean and had plenty of hot water.
