Holiday Inn MEXICO DALI AIRPORT

After we arrived to T2 in Mexico City's airport, it was easy to find the hotel's office. The shuttle arrived within 10 min, so waiting time wasn't so bad. Drive to hotel was 10 min at night, and then 5 min. early in the morning. Hotel staff was nice and courteous. Room was very nice and clean. We ordered room service and their pizza was delicious. I would stay at this hotel again.

A typical Holiday Inn, with no fancy features and perfect if you are single and need a night to stay close to the airport. Probably the most economic among all hotels near the Airport. It has a free shuttle service every hour to and from the airport. Staff is friendly, food is okay. There are no smoking rooms though. And since it is farther from any other "Airport Hotel", make sure you take the address of the hotel if you are taking a cab. Else they will take you to the airport itself and charge extra.

The rooms are clean and modern; beds are exceptionally soft and comfortable. The staff was always helpful and accomodating. The airport shuttle was efficient and available every hour, 24 hours in the day, for transportation. Please note that to find the shuttle when first arriving into Mexico go to Gate 4 (Terminal 1) on the lower level of the airport. Go out the doors and turn to your right. Stand by the corner area where you see the buses and other hotel vans parked. Wait there. My van arrived about 15 minutes after the hour. It is clearly marked with the Holiday Inn logo. As a Holiday Inn Priority Club member, I received coupons for a free shoe shine, 2 free house bar drinks, and complementary afternoon cookies and coffee on the 5th floor. My only suggestion would be to ask to stay in a room on the opposite side of air traffic and not on top floor. My orig. room was on the 4th floor, on the "quieter" side of the hotel facing the reception desk area. Ear plugs are a necessity, as, without them, you will hear airplane traffic and piano music in the atrium throughout the night. Hotel food was delicious for the Mexican plates I ordered...cochinta pibil and tacos. I paid for a room with free breakfast. The staff will adjust to a continental breakfast to-go (very large with fruit, sandwich, drinks)if you miss the breakfast serving times due to the departure time of your flight out. Staff knows limited English, but speaking Spanish definitely comes in handy!

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The rooms are clean and modern; beds are exceptionally soft and comfortable with fluffy firm and/or soft choices for pillows, and bathrooms quite comfortable for foreign travelers. The staff was always helpful and accomodating. My daughter fell sick to diarrhea and vomiting due to food poisoning and the staff helped me in any way they could. When in passing, they even would ask me how my daughter was doing. I could special order foods, obtain free extended computer access, and had assistance in storing luggage and getting the taxi to the hospital. They seemed like family to me. I could hear/see just a few planes, but ear plugs are a necessity, if you want to sleep comfortably. The next nights, after returning from the hospital, we were assigned a room on the opposite side, just above the reception desk; where airplanes could be viewed from our window flying one after another...forever! Being on the top 5th floor this time probably didn't help shield the noise either. Along with that, a pianist plays music in the atrium until sometime around 11:00 pm and the music resounds in each room, no matter where your room is located. It is nice, but continual. On a Friday night, in one of the conference rooms, a band played for some business people at the hotel. The music was all night long...and I mean all night long! When we left at 6am for the airport, the music was still going strong! Such is Mexico and their parties! Again, the earplugs are a necessity! You need to be adaptable!

VERY CONVIENT TO THE MEXICO CITY AIRPORT AT A VERY GOOD VALUE. THE HOTEL HAS VERY CLEAN ROOMS WITH A RESTAURANT ONSITE. GOOD VALUE, CLEAN AND SAFE WITH FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE CONVIENTLY LOCATED IN TERMINAL 2 OF THE MEXICO CITY AIRPORT.

I was on business and had a quick turn around so the location close to the airport was perfect. For the price I was pleasantly surprised and would stay there again.

The hotel is close to the International airport and offers free shuttle every hour of the day! They are friendly enough, but are generally unable to make change in dollars or pesos. Also, their exchange rate was the lowest noticed in town. The hotel is located in an industrial center and some distance from the center of the city; this adds to the difficulty of getting the best rates. Always try to keep at least a couple of hundred pesos available, as they are always handy to have around. The staff also directed me to a service that provided a private tour of Pyramids, the Basilica, the Three Cultures Square, the Zocalo, the Anthropological Museum, lunch and a little shopping for a very reasonable price! Our driver ([...]) was amazing, negotiating traffic that would send an American into the insane asylum! All in all, a great stay, with only minor inconveniences.

Not only was this the nicest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in in regards to room quality and overall hotel appearance, but the warmth and understanding of the staff was beyond what I expected. My girlfriend and I had lost our passports, debit, and credit cards the day we checked in, on the day before our return flight to the U.S. The Holiday Inn staff members, being patient with my limited Spanish skills, were extremely kind and helpful in our time of need.

We took a bus to the Mexico aiport, received a very quick shuttle to the hotel, met with exceedingly great service and were in our room very quickly. I asked for something to open a bottle of wine, one person came immediatly to open it, one right behind him with two wine glasses for us to use. Leasure time, a very nice restaurant, great food! A wake up call, a 5:00 a.m. shuttle back to the airport in under 10 minutes! You can not beat this kind of service any place else. Maybe they can match it, but they will not beat it!! Any time I am traveling in this area, I will stay at this hotel. Chuck Yeager
