The Staff Makes It a Winner

A well-located, prestigious, elegant hotel has the best, most cordial staff at every level. We were safe, comfortable, well fed and rested throughout our stay. The rooms could use a little refurbishment; the mattresses could be turned or replaced. Chapultepec Park and the Anthropology Museum are a long stroll away. We would not consider any other hotel in Mexico city.

Quiet elegant oasis in Mexico City

The Four Seasons experience is welcome in Mexico City as the amenities, staff and accommodations are world class - quiet, respectful and tranquil. It is however very conservative and traditional so if you are looking for night life or more lobby excitement this isn't it. One negative is the service in the restaurants and bar where you have to hunt for waiters.

Great hotel, great location

We spent the weekend at the Four Seasons. Our suite was very comfortable and the amenities beyond our expectations. Also, the staff was very friendly, client-oriented and provided an impeccable service.

Good Old Days

Four Seasons used to be a great hotel. Still is a beautiful hotel. But they seems to have stopped investing top money and it shows. Beds are old and overused. TV sets are from a decade ago with cheap, sticky remote controls. If you get a room on the Reforma street side be prepared to get up at 4:30 am with the street noise of buses and cars. Great staff and garden. But for the money there are a lot better options in Mexico City.

DANGEROUS and DECEPTIVE

During a US State Department Travel Advisory for Mexico, my US passport was stolen from a backpack in my room, 30 seconds out of my possession (top floor suite) along with my i-phone and cash. The staff failed to help. The General Manager refused to talk to me. The rooms division manager was accusatory. Our trip was completely ruined. Furthermore, several dishonest occurrances happened such as telling us the house car was a taxi, no AC even though they assured us the AC was on. The hotel is run down and lacks security cameras in the hallways or elevators. There are no security personel on any elevators or any elevator entry. The staff is generally rude or oblivious. This place was a nightmare. Wait staff chased me down for a bigger tip despite terrible service. The hotel is not a five star hotel by any means. Two skinny, rental police offer a false sense of security outside while the staff managed to steal my belongings inside. The concierge desk was confused the entire stay. Nobody knew where to send us. The spa was lame. Service was generally lacking and onsite pricing was extraordinarily high (house car was $26 for a 7 minute ride). Beware.

Internet

I"m really MAD about hotels that ask you to pay for internet. When you pay U$ 500 and up for a room and have to pay 15 to 20 a day for wi-fi is stupid. When you go to Mc Donals and buy a burger for 3 you have wi-fi free. At the Four Seasons in Mexico you have to pay. I will never go to a hotel that ask you for money to use the internet.

Excellent hotel, fantastic service

There is nothing negative to be said about this hotel. Its in a wonderful location, right on Reforma Avenue before you enter the Chapultepec Park. The lobby is elegant but not snobby, and the service is fast, efficient and truly representative of the saying "the customer is always right", without being overbearing. The courtyard is simply beautiful, and although the restaurant Reforma 500 gives a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting, it is a bit lacking in choice of food. Nevertheless, what you order does not disappoint, and once again, the service is nothing short of perfect. The one and only complaint about the hotel was the TV service. Despite having an interactive menu, the on demand feature was disabled in our room (on both TVs) and the system sometimes failed causing the entire TV service to get blocked momentarily (15 min, max). The concierge was extremely helpful, and attended our every request - including providing bubble wrap and duct tape for 4 paintings we had bought at Bazaar Sabado, free of charge. Highly recommended on every level, the hotel is elegant, classy and offers the best service in Mexico, which is a bold statement in its own right!
