Good for friends trip

Hotel was a great value for the price. The location is perfect, close to bars, restaurants, shopping, metro station, etc. Breakfast wasnt included in our price and was a bit expensive by Mexican standards ($10) but it was great quality. Only downsides were that we had to switch rooms (it happens), and on the last day we didnt have electricity in our room - so the A/C didnt work while we packed. Dont know why. We'd stay here again though. Staff was accomodating.

Bars are close-by, grab a few beers then head to Condesa where the good looking crowd is.

Well-located, great value hotel

Centrally-located hotel (close to the Angel de la Independencia) at a good price. This hotel might not be at its prime anymore, but is nevertheless a better option than most hotels of the same price category in the area. Highly recommended.

AS GOOD AS BAD!!

The hotel by itself is great, very nice rooms and perfectly located. But in the other hand, since the very first time we approached the front desk, the staff were unfriendly and really rude. We had problems at night, it was impossible to turn off the bathroom lights, we called them and they said the next day somenone would fix them. Well, they didn't. 3 times we reported it and they did not a single REAL effort to solve the problem. When we checked out, they presented a bill for $ 20.00 USD, for parking. It was cheap... that is true... the thing is they never mentioned during the chek in process that there was an extra cost for parking. We asked for the manager to comment this issue, and the guy in the desk said the general manager was out of town, and nobody was there to hear any kind of comments, and if we wanted, we could come back the next working day to talk to him. JUST RUDE!! It's a shame, the rooms are really GREAT.

Great hotel!!

It was a great experience. The hotel is not a luxurious hotel but it has the basic things you need, if you plan to be outside walking around the city. It's just 1 block away from the subway station (Metro Insurgentes station) and 1 block away from one of the most important sightseeing avenues (Paseo de la Reforma), 2 blocks away from one of the most important monuments of the city: the Independence Angel (Ángel de la Independencia). You'll be just in the middle of all the important things you have to know when you visit Mexico City. It's right in the middle of downtown, Chapultepec, Polanco, Condesa, etc. There's no best location for that! Besides the hotel rooms are huge for a very low price. It comes with a living room, kitchenette, and the bedroom is separated, as in another room, it's just great! I highly suggest you to stay here.

Entertainment tip: In Hotel

The hotel offers you some tours, we took the one that takes you to "Plaza de las 3 Culturas" (3 Cultures Plaza), Basílica de Guadalupe and Teotihuacan. It costs 40 dollars per person and includes roundtrip and entry to the venues, doesn't include the food, but they'll take you to a restaurant buffet that costs around 16 USD per person. There's another company that offers the same tour, but it charges around 53 dollars, the difference is that this one includes the food. So it's up to you, the first one is a more personalized service and the second one is more with the big bus that will take a bunch of people. Just keep in mind that all the places they're gonna take you, it's so you can buy some stuff and they'll get some commission on your shopping hehe.

nice & well located

Very well located, one block from the "Insurgentes" metro station, 2 blocks from "paseo de la Reforma Avenue" (angel de la independencia) where you can easily catch a bus to almost everywhere. The hotel offers cheap deals with local touristic companies and you can visit theothiuacan, taxco or xochimilco for 40$ each. Altough it is true that the Zona Rosa is not any more the "chic" place it used to be back in the 90's it is still a very strategic zone because is located close to many "landmarks" Zocalo, Chapultepec park, alameda etc... good restaurants around (i.e. konditori). the hotel rooms are excelent and very couch, internet speed is not its strenght but this is a minor concern if you are in a leisure trip. overall a great experience

Great bargain, great breakfast!

A nice-sized (30 rooms?) very personal hotel in a great, gay-friendly neighborhood. It is close to the metro and bus service and everything you need - shops, restaurants, convenience stores - is right there. I like to eat on the cheap so it was great the room included a fridge, coffee pot and microwave. A substantial breakfast buffet is included and open until 11am, so I generally ate only this and one other meal prepared simply in my room from fresh groceries available from local shops and vendors.

Comfortable stay in la Zona Rosa

This was my second time staying at this property in less than four months. Service is great! Friendly staff, very clean property and convenient to all areas of the city. One suggestion, make sure you inspect the entire room before you unpack. I unpacked and settled in and later realized that a shower door was missing. Had to move to an entirely different room, but the staff was courteous.
