Budget Friendly

Would recommend Tue, Nov 23, 2010
This hotel is perfect if you are traveling on a budget. Rooms need updating, bathroom smells muskey, but maids do clean daily. Be sure to shake clothes out before leaving, hotel seems to have a roach problem. If you seek luxury this is not the place to stay at..once again expectations for this hotel should just be basic and nothing over the top.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT DEL ANGEL HOTEL

Would not recommend Wed, Jul 7, 2010
The rooms were nothing like the pictures. There were a million roaches! DISGUSTING! The staff was creepy and always asked about our whereabouts. They recommended a taxi for us that was a fake and billed us 600 pesos for what should have been 200!!! Money was stolen out of our vault. The hotel staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Overpriced for such ugly TINY rooms!

Attractions

The hotel is in a great location. You literally walk 5 minutes and you are already at the location in which you can take taxis and turibuses.

Dont stay here even for free

Would not recommend Mon, Dec 14, 2009
1. After reaching at Airport , I called this hotel no and i was asked to hold the call and I was waiting for 10 mins. SO I hanged up the call and called again and 2-3 times they didnt pick the call. 2.Staff right from bell boy to reception is quite rude. 3.Still have 10-15 yrs old TVs in the room and remote doesnt work. 4.No AC in the room and bed matress springs makes noise, uncleaned. 5.They have restarunt but hardly you will see any customer over there. Just spend few more $$ and take a much better room at nerby Cityexpress hotel which far bettre than De angel.

Trip to Mexico City

Would recommend Fri, Nov 20, 2009
We enjoyed our stay at Del Angel Hotel, the noise from trafic going by on Paseo de la Reforma was not a deterrent for a restful night. Any time in the future, we will be glad to expend couple nights at this hotel

Lovely Room in Nice Area

Would recommend Fri, Nov 6, 2009
The hotel is a short walk from the Angel Monument, which is centrally located on the Paseo de la Reforma, near the U.S. Embassy and high-class hotels. They have remodeled most of the rooms and we had a remodeled room which was lovely. I would suggest getting a high floor as the street noise can be loud at times. The hotel is about seven blocks from either the Insurgentes or the Sevilla Metro. Don't use the hotel taxis, unless you want to pay triple the regular fare. Regular taxis in Mexico city are cheap and convenient before 11pm. At late night, you must agree on a fare before you get in, or you will get ripped off. The Zona Rosa, which is just south of the Angel is very gay-friendly area and the boys are lovely. So get used to it. For romance, Mexico City and Paris are it.

Nice Hotel at a cheap price (Mexico City

Would recommend Sun, Oct 11, 2009
The hotel was very close to Zona Rojas & Reforma. Everything was walking distance and didnt need to use a taxi or bus. Really enjoyed Zona Rojas & Reforma while in Mexico City. Many resturants, bars and many places to shop.

Nightlife hint

The nightlife in Zona Rojas and Reforma was great and a lot of things to see and do during the night time.

Closed for remodeling

Would recommend Sun, May 31, 2009
The hotel was closed for remodelling, and we were put in the San Marino Suites accross the street for opne night, then to Suites del Angel (next door) for the remaining stay. Both Suite hotels were much nicer than the original, but cost more (but not this time).

Money saver

The money exchange house on the corner of Tibor and Lerma is not crowded and has better rates than those at the airport.
