Basic comfort and affordability in Mexico City near U.S. embassy
Del Angel offers an excellent location in the center of Mexico City close to the U.S. Embassy, the financial district, and tourist sites. The hotel is one block from Paseo de la Reforma Boulevard where guests will find museums and historic monuments, and across from the popular Zona Rosa district. The restaurant, bar, and some rooms offer views of the signature Independence Monument. Fine restaurants, popular stores, and well-known Mexico City tourist sites are all close by.

Great Location for Hotel - business or pleasure
The best feature is the location in the city - blocks from the Independence angel and the U.S. Embassy. There are many very good restaurants on the street (Rio Lerma) - the best being Don Asado. The rooms are OK, but run down. The hotel needs to improve its internet service and ensure that the connection is secure. The staff is great - trying to please. The restaurant is OK, but only 2 stars at best. The hotel is described as close to the Zona Rosa, but beware those who do not know the city as that area is no longer upscale for tourists - simply a disgrace and very dangerous after dark.

Visit Don Asado on Rio Lerma for price and atmosphere (very few tourits); or Quebracho, also on Lerma but very expensive.

Great location
This hotel is great as there are many restuarants within 5 minute walking distance. Sushi, Argentina, Italian. Great internet access too, worked well in our room. The room is comfy and is great for a few nights stay.

Good location and friendly, helpful staff. Lots of restaurants nearby and one block from Paseo de Reforma. About 15 minutes walk to Metro Insurgentes through the Zona Rosa. I liked the hotel and the only drawback is that they have no lobby to wait for friends etc. There is a restaurant but it doesn't seem right o sit in a restaurant whilst waiting.

Excellente localizacion
First time in Mexico City but we had a wonderfull time becouse teh Hotel is in the center of Mexico City near to the Zona Rosa and easy to get around. Stuff was friendly and the room was good for the prize. I was very happy with the Location to me its number 1

Budget Friendly
This hotel is perfect if you are traveling on a budget. Rooms need updating, bathroom smells muskey, but maids do clean daily. Be sure to shake clothes out before leaving, hotel seems to have a roach problem. If you seek luxury this is not the place to stay at..once again expectations for this hotel should just be basic and nothing over the top.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT DEL ANGEL HOTEL
The rooms were nothing like the pictures. There were a million roaches! DISGUSTING! The staff was creepy and always asked about our whereabouts. They recommended a taxi for us that was a fake and billed us 600 pesos for what should have been 200!!! Money was stolen out of our vault. The hotel staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Overpriced for such ugly TINY rooms!

Dont stay here even for free
1. After reaching at Airport , I called this hotel no and i was asked to hold the call and I was waiting for 10 mins. SO I hanged up the call and called again and 2-3 times they didnt pick the call. 2.Staff right from bell boy to reception is quite rude. 3.Still have 10-15 yrs old TVs in the room and remote doesnt work. 4.No AC in the room and bed matress springs makes noise, uncleaned. 5.They have restarunt but hardly you will see any customer over there. Just spend few more $$ and take a much better room at nerby Cityexpress hotel which far bettre than De angel.

Trip to Mexico City
We enjoyed our stay at Del Angel Hotel, the noise from trafic going by on Paseo de la Reforma was not a deterrent for a restful night. Any time in the future, we will be glad to expend couple nights at this hotel
