Chic minimalist hotel in 1920s building in Condesa neighborhood
The original facade of the building says 1928, but once inside, Condesa DF beckons with cutting edge décor and facilities. The triangular-shaped hotel sits on a tree-lined road in front of Parque Espagña in the Mexican capital's bohemian district. Enjoy views, dinner, sushi, and cocktails from rooftop patio restaurants.

CONDESA DF - A terrific experience
The hotel is situated in the CONDESA "colony", a hip and Bohemian area of Mexico City. The streets feel very safe and you can walk to a myriad of wonderful bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is comfortable, attractive, and off beat in the good sense - as a good boutique hotel should be. There is a terrific rooftop bar that is a destination for city hipsters as well as hotel guests. The rooms are clean, well appointed but small. There are 3 types of rooms. Level 1: Rooms with windows that only give on the inside atrium -- not recommended as they are noisy and do not have outside views and fresh air. Level 2, like the one my wife and I had, have outside windows and wondeful views of the leafy avenues ouside. The third, which I visited but did not stay in have full terraces with table and chairs and are both bigger, nicer and 50% more expensive. My one and only dislike of the room I had was that the bathroom area was crammed and extremely dark, though the shower was especially nice. The staff could not be nicer from the people at the desk to the waiters at the bar. Overall I recommend the Hotel highly though it is not particularly cheap Buen Viaje Nicolas Bernheim, Los Angeles California

good time in condesa
i travelled there for business but wished it had been for pleasure! the rooms/suites are small but tastefully furnished and decorated. The atomosphere is very voluptuous. Would be a nice couple holiday venue. The breakfast buffet is great (good croissants/pain au chocolat for Mexico). Dinner restaurant downstairs is also very good. Sushi bar upstairs not so good; ambiance is great (under the stars with gas heaters on cool evenings) but a few of the small plates we ordered were either undercooked or tasted not that great - there was a foul smell also up there from time to time (bad plumbing from the Jacuzzi?). prices are significant and it is far from the city center, but condesa is a really nice part of town, so i would definitely try and spend a night or two there when i return to Mexico city

Condesa DF stay
The service was terrible[...]. The waiters were rude and the rooms were smelly and loud. it is a very uncomfortable hotel, we barely slept because of the street noise and the warm rooms. The air condition panel was hidden behind the TV screen. I would never recommend this hotel, sorr¡

Pleasant Suprise
Pleasantly surprised about the Condesa DF. It can get a bit noisy as the hotel is a hot spot, but not a huge issue. The comfortable beds make it easy to sleep!

classic chic
a funky, hip, minimalist decor with food and patrons to match! don't let the interior fool you - limestone floors, bursts of intense colour and furniture ala juan miro and noguchi - all feel contemporary, but this building is historic!

beware: no gym
I was very disappointed that they don't actually have arrangements for a gym. All they have is a single fitness bike and a non-operating treadmill. Apparently their agreement with a local gym has expired but they have failed to remove it from their list of amenities.

A great hotel in a great neighborhood
Hotel Condesa DF is located in the heart of Condesa, a thriving, tree and park filled neighborhood of small shops, galleries, and hip professionals. The hotel is sharp in it's design and the staff is professional and very helpful. They can recommend restaurants and nearby sights that are really great. The rooftop bar is stunning. Cool evenings and cocktails as the music begins to crank up around 10pm. The terrace suite has a patio with chairs and table and is very large. Built in IPod docks and flat screen tv in the room is nice too. The closets are a little small, but the bathrooms has a rain shower head and the windows are floor to ceiling.

Short walk from hotel
For a great lunch, try Bistro Rojo, a quaint French style bristo. The duck is excellent and the wine list is first rate. Also, walk to the neighborhood Roma, and munch on fish tacos at Contremar.
