Mixed review
The promised "hot" breakfast was two slices of toast. The drains did not work properly in either the shower or the sink, resulting in backups.

It did the job
Overall, I had a great experience here. The room was quite at night and I was able to sleep well. It was also in a great, convenient location. A few things I would quip about: The name of the hotel is misleading. I wrongly assumed the hotel was located in Colonia Condesa, and it is actually in Colonia Roma. The hotel advertised that they have a "health club". It is actually just a gym and it was being remodeled. I told the travel company about this and they contacted the hotel and arranged for a partial reimbursement for me, which was great. We were asked upon check in if we wanted one or two beds. We said two and were given a double bed. A double bed for a couple is pretty close quarters and would have appreciated at least a queen. The accomodations of the hotel were fine for what the price was. Because we got such a good deal through an online travel org, it was worth it. But I would have been upset if I had paid what the hotel normally charges. This is a budget hotel and it comes with budget service. The rooms and the lobby definitely need some updating.

please read this is a rip-off, a scam, read!!!!!!!
as I arrived I could not believe it, this was not the hotel that I had booked, let me explain, Casa de la condesa has 2 hotels with the same name, the pictures are from the reforma hotel as it said on the red canopi at the entrance, look at the first picture. so they show you pictures from the reforma hotel but they book you with the Plaza Luis Cabrera hotel wich is a dump. very run down place, hard beds and pillows, dirty rooms, very very dirty and unsafe area. so on your reservation they give you the plaza cabrera hotel address, so when you say no I did not book this hotel, they say look at your reservation and it is the plaza cabrera address and phone number. so you can not say nothing, they are very quick to tell you no refunds look at you reservation. anyways you are best loosing you money and going somewhere else

Good location but noisy
The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with a lot of activities within walking distance. However, 1 - Hotel shares the courtyard with the restaurant next door. The rooms that look into the inner courtyard is very noisy at nights due to the music from the restaurant. 2 - No continuous internet access. 3 - Make sure that you take the printed copy of your reservation confirmation since the hotel may not have a copy. They were about to charge for the breakfast unless they were shown that it was already paid for at the time of the reservation. Same applies for check-in. 4 - There were cockroaches in the room.

quaint and comfortable oasis
The hotel is a lovely and affordable option. I stayed for a full week and considered it my home away from home. It's located on a quiet but well-trafficked street in a mixed residential/university neighborhood that has an eclectic mix of restaurants and cafes. The park across the street (Plaza Luis Cabrera) was bustling day and night with locals walking their dogs and socializing. My room was clean and simple with a comfortable "well-worn" feel. The kitchenette was a nice bonus. The bed was firm but soft and very cozy. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I'm recommending it to my friends. It's a great value!

Feels like home.
Facing a park and walking distance to food, markets, galleries, and sidewalk cafes. A TV commercial was being filmed next door. Very pleasant staff. Plenty of supplies, hot water, etc. A new restaurant should be open downstairs, by now.

This hotel was great!
The only negative thing to say about this hotel was that they were having certain areas under construction. like the restaurant. But, they acquired the restaurant next door and I imagine it's going to be just wonderful. The next time I go to Mexico City I will stay in this same hotel.

Short walk from hotel
You can take the Turibus for $120.00 Pesos for the whole day, it has two lines (red and green) one goes North and the other south, it's an inexpensive way to visit important places and get to know the city.

Great Value in Chic area of Mexico City.
I really enjoyed my stay at Casa de la Condesa. However, they have a sister hotel Condesa Reforma, and taxi drivers and car services get confused, so have the address and keep saying Plaza Luis Cabrera. Hotel is located across the street from University of London, Mexico City. While at the hotel, a TV commercial was being filmed. Friendly staff, too. I had BIG problems with other ORBITZ services booked at the same time, however.
