Convenient..That's It.

An aging property with indifferent staff and uncomfortable rooms. After waiting in line for one hour to register, they did not have my reservation. When they finally found it, they wanted $650 pesos more for the same room. After we worked through that, the room was a disappointment. Small, crowded, stained carpet, air conditioning that had only one temperature (cold), lumpy mattress with cheap foam pillows. No coffeemaker. And at a premium price. Sad, this chain used to be the best in Mexico - no longer.

bad service

Warning! This place requires a 24 hour reservation. If you don't have one they want 230.00. The Ramada inn was close and much nicer and less hassle! Plus less money! Free airport shuttle too!

Food poisoning and no internet

I stayed at the Camino for 2 weeks during a recent business trip to Mexico City. There is no free internet in the hotel. They charge $225 peso ($20US) a day for internet in the room that is provided over a 10MB lan. Pityful. In addition I was violently ill from a meal in the hotel restaraunt. I travel to Mexico City often and have never had challanges like this. I will never go back to the Camino.

Marginal Hotel

AC didnt work had to change rooms. Carpet in the hall and rooms had to be at least 15 years old. Ragged and dirty. The hotel has a sewage smell everywhere. Would not recomend this unless there was nothing else available. The only good thing it was a short walk to the Airport.

INFLEXIBLE

I had a delay because a natural disaster in other airport (volcano), I contacted the hotel, but after I explained the hotel didn't want to change the reservation. I lost USD 150, really bad experience.... You have to decide wether you'd like to have the same experience in case of any delay. two days later I have to spend half day at the airport.

Stay somewhere else

I spent a Wednesday night here after arriving at midnight and having an early morning meeting close to the airport. I have stayed at other Camino Real properties and this one is miles away from the Camino Real experience, this was more like a roach motel experience. The bad reviews are extremely accurate. I was not given the room requested, but sent to a different tower with a minuscule room with a queen size bed as the only option if I wanted a non-smoking room (which had been requested when booking the room). Air conditioning was broken and made a ton of noise when it worked all night long. Room smelled like mold and humidity, bed was old and deformed, the worst I have slept in a hotel with no doubt. Stay in any other hotel if you need to stay at the airport. Motel 6 is a luxurious experience compared to this dumpster. Thanks.
