[...] very pleasant. The location is only blocks away from centro. The facade and initial entryway were grand although the rooms themselves were more basic but very adequate and clean. The staff were polite and helpful.

nice, clean, great location
great place to stay in merida, much better that what i expected for the price, minor details, such as...... small bathroom, the floor title kind of old, didn't try the food, i always prefer to go out. merida is a really nice place and low prices found at all hotel in downtown maybe even better than this one.

the front desk, ignored clients,
the front desk, ignored clients, didn't follow through on complaints, the toilet leaked, mold in the shower,. the place was noisy, collage kids screaming in the halls, leaving their doors open & tvs blasting, throwing soccer balls between the towers.ect. I won't ever go back!

Good value.
Clean hotel, pleasant staff, large rooms in an old colonial mansion. (Hotel tower added). A bit far from the square but OK if you are fit. My bathroom had sewer gas smell coming from sink but very clean. Friends bath smelled fine. Great value.

High service grade
Because I had to leave the hotel Gobernador because of overbookings I was forced to check into another hotel very quickly. In some reviews of this hotel I read that it would be a bad hotel. I cannot state that. The staff and servents were very polite, friendly and helpfull. The room was big and airconditioned. It was a clean hotel and there even was a pool WITH water. I really liked it. Also breakfast was good.

Don't waste your mooney
The pool had no water in it during our one-week stay. The beds were hard and the rooms old and minimally glossed over. Toilet blocked up for three days - plumber could not fix. We were finally offered another room on the last day of our stay. Elevators did not work properly if at all leaving us trapped on the second floor on several occasions. The good news: the manager, was lovely and tried to help us as best he could with what he had to work with.
