Elegant with sincere helpfulness
The room was stylish, comfortable and quiet. The lobby had many holiday touches. Staff helped with locating church, airline boarding passes, excursions, and orientation. The breakfasts served in the restaurant are excellent as is its atmosphere. There is a beautiful outdoor pool in the courtyard.

Excellent Hotel
When we first arrived at the Presidente Intercontinental, we were disappointed to see that we were quite a distance from the town square where all of the "action" is. However; everything else about the hotel was PERFECT and in the end we had no regrets! The service was absolutely amazing. The staff all learned our names on the first day and continued to greet us warmly and tend to our needs for the 9 days we were there. The rooms were very comfortable and the food delicious. We would stay again and definitely recommend it to others.

Great hotel
A first-class hotel in a beautiful colonial city. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a bad time with shower/water problems at a hotel in Cancun so getting to this beautiful room in Merida with a big bathroom and perfect shower/bath facilities was wonderful. The pool looked inviting but we were only there a couple of days and didn't have time to enjoy it. It's a bit hard to find and get to because of the round-abouts and all the one-way streets. You would be fine if getting there by taxi but we were driving a rental car and it took us a while.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
We were travelling with our vegetarian son and it is sometimes a challenge to find something other than rice and salad for him. We found a great restaurant with all types of food (not just vegetarian) near the beautiful historic center of town. We had a lovely lunch in the patio of Amaro.

Nice but overpriced
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and roomy. Cleaning service came at 7 pm 2 days and earlier one day only after a request. Was a nice hotel but definitely overpriced.
