Very pleasant stay

We stayed in a room with Garden View with a balcony - 2 double beds. It was perfectly clean. The room has a large window wall that goes to the balcony. We didnt go to the balcony due to the possible mosquitos, but the view through the glass wall was great. After we went to Chichen Itza (through a quiet private entrance), checked out the room of course, we realized we left our camera in the room. After the trip in Chichen Itza, we went back to the hotel, the camera was there waiting for us ! And we had lunch there afterwards, yes, some mosquitos in the restaurant, but no complaint. By the way, the breakfast was great too. Oh, finally, the hot water valve has a letter "C", it does not stands for "cold", but "clienta", or hot. :-)

Very Beautiful

This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Chichen Itza. The gardens are wonderful and have their own private entrance to the historical site. The hotel itself is very beautiful. The rooms are a little dated but nice. My only quibble is the lack of ac plugs but everything else is nice. The restaurant was nice but expensive -- you are kind of trapped with not many food options since you are in a slightly remote location. I highly recommend this place.

Paradise In The Jungle

The hotel has a very historic look and architecture. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We stayed in room 23 (third floor, corner room) which looks out over a huge tree. The branches spread out so far, it gives the impression of being in a tree house. Sitting on the balcony, we listened to many birds and other jungle sounds. No one noticed us sitting up there, so it was fun to people watch as they strolled through the gardens. At the end of the hall outside our room, there is a great view of the observatory ruins (El Caracol). At night, the hotel shines a spotlight on it, giving a mystical ambiance. The rear entrance to Chichen-Itza ruins is less than a 100 meters from the hotel. This entrance is mainly for guests of the three hotels located in the vicinity. Suggest getting to the park as they open (8:00 am), before the tour buses arrive.

One night is not enough

We were just looking for 1 night close by Chichen Itza ruins and pick Mayaland for its good location. We found a great hotel, almost inside the ruins with a fantastic service attention. We would love to go back and spend more time to enjoy this fantastic hotel in the middle of the jungle with the quality of a five star hotel.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Before to go to Chichen Itza, we recommend to see the sound and light presentation in the planetarium room of Mayaland hotel. You would learn about Maya astronomy knowledge and will enjoy much more your visit of Chichen Itza on the next day. For less than 10USD, it is a must to see.

Solid 3-star, great location

Right next to the archeological zone. Decent restaurant although the menu is quite limited. Free wireless in the lobby area. Be warned that this place has a resort feel but serves its purpose well.

Great Hotel in the heart of Chichen Itza.

This is a beautiful facility. The gardens are lovely and the staff is very friendly. There are several restaurants and a bar that looks out onto the observatory. We had booked for the hotel, but were upgraded to a bungalow. This was my second time staying here and we probably will again in the future when we are in the region.

Unbeatable location

This hotel has a perfect location at the gates of the Chichen Itza park. It is impossible to beat. Also the setting is very lovely amongst palm trees and with many birds giving a lovely peaceful feeling to the hotel. The rooms are ok. They have lovely wood carvings and beautiful stained glass on the doors. However there was a bit of an odour from the bathroom and the beds are a bit old. Both could do with an upgrade. The restaurant was not fantastic, nor was it terrible.
