Great location
The beach location is wonderful, notwithstanding all the beach vendors who are there all day. I had heard about the noise from the adjoining bar, but when I turned the AC on low I couldn't hear the music any more. it did go on until the wee hours of the morning, however. That noise was nothing compared to my next-door neighbors who yelled, banged, sang, screamed, and partied most of the night. In spite of the noise, I would stay here again. It is a very good value.

The mattress in our room was the best we've ever had at a hotel. The pillows were uncomfortable. The coffee maker didn't work, but was replaced at our request. The maid was wonderful, and brought extra pillows and towels at our request. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. I would definately go back here.

Great hotel for the price!
Though the nearby nightlife can be loud, this is a great hotel! The location is excellent, and we really enjoyed our ocean view room. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to partake in Mazatlan's nightlife.

Luxurious and Fun atmosphere!
Ramada is the place to be in MZT, period - I don't think there is another place there that offers the location, entertainment, etc. - feels like an all inclusive resort for the price of just a hotel. We had booked another hotel in Mazatlan, only to find that we were the youngest guests and it was not our style - looking for something more exciting with energy. My friend and I are both young professionals in our 20s/30s looking for classy digs with lots of comforts. We changed to Ramada Resort on the 2nd day, which was an incredible experience - very luxurious, beatiful property - great staff, restaurant at the hotel was incredible - this property actually has 3 restaurants and one beachfront bar - Joe's Oyster Bar. Joe's was a really fun place to hang out on the beach, music was great, beach volleyball on the weekends, etc., situated far enough away from rooms to not be disturbing at all to anyone not interested - very well managed and run. This is definitely the place to go in MZT if you are young / young at heart. Every guest was very pleased with the service and enjoying themselves, the security and the amenities of the property. We felt like they did a great job of making sure that hotel guests only were using the facilities. Would definitely go again.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Joe's Oyster Bar is inside the Ramada compound but open to the public via the beach. DEFINITELY the best place we went out of all the nightlife/entertainment venues in MZT. Always a great crowd and a favorite with locals.

Ramada Resort Mazatlan
The hotel is very clean. The rooms are not elegant but very simple. The best view is on the 8th floor. If you don't enjoy music at night this is not the place for you. Joe's Oyster Bar is right next door to the hotel and you can hear music until 3A. The hotel restaurant has a great view of the ocean and a reasonable priced buffet. Don't pay $40/per person for your ride from the airport as recommended on some sites. I paid $25 for my husband and I together in a taxi. I was really glad I didn't pay this is advance.

Christmas in Mexico
This is a beautiful, affordable hotel in a great location. It would be paradise except for the fact that there is a noisy establishment on the premises that doesn't stop blaring music until three and sometimes four in the morning. Bring earplugs!
