The Greatest Resort-Hotel

This is probably the 10th or 12th time I have stayed at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan and it gets better with each visit. The hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly. We love all of the waiters by the pool ([...] and the rest of them are all so friendly and welcoming) and the activities staff - I don't think they come any better. We are always welcomed by everyone and made to feel like "family." The hotel room is spacious enough and very clean with all amenities we need - full-size refrigerator, microwave, shower, tub, queen-size beds, couch, chairs and a good-sized balcony with an outside table and chairs so we can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and play board games after dinner. The daily activities by the pool are always fun and efficiently run by [...]. We also really enjoyed the City Tour conducted by [...] as he does an excellent job of pointing out and explaining things and places of interest. We also like the other activities offered on the beach - parasailing, jet-ski and the catamaran. This time Alex took us on a 2-hour trip on the catamaran that was wonderful and I highly recommend that trip, too.The only thing missing on this trip was not enough days - usually we go for 10 days but could only go for a week which is definitely not long enough!!As I said, each trip to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan just gets better each time. I only wish I could go more often than three times a year.Kathy Fode

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Although we eat at the hotel a few times, we also enjoy walking a few blocks to eat at "The Place" and Chili's Pepper. Both places are short walks, have great food and extremely reasonable prices.

Fun getaway

The hotel and the staff were great. Everything was clean and the wait staff were fantastic. However most of the drinks we ordered tasted like there was no booze in them. We resorted to ordering juice or soda and then a shot of something.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

One warning: DO NOT GO ON THE 90 minute timeshare expedition. After 3 hrs of which I clearly stated in the beginning; I would not make a decision today, I and my friends had enough.

Loved it!

Great resort - nice, large, clean rooms, great amenities, good food and friendly staff. The only negative would be that they don't store extra fold-out cots/beds, which baffled us. Otherwise, this resort deserves high marks.

Very family friendly

The hotel staff is very friendly and their English language good. The restaurants have a variety of food and can sometimes make something that isn't on the menu. Many other restaurants and hotels are within walking distance. The beach is wonderful and security seems adequate. There are activities planned for most days at the hotel. The rooms provide kitchenettes if you want to prepare food or just heat up leftovers. Everything seems very clean and comfortable.

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

There is some entertainment and activities going on at the hotel most days or evenings. A short taxi or pulmonia ride away is much more.
