Not good

The only good thing about this hotel is the food. Excellent food and I really enjoyed eating here. One problem is that at the restaurant, they try everything so you leave tip. Considering that I got all inclusive, it was not cool. Some of them were rude because I did not leave tip after dinner. The rooms are big but very old and humid! We had chance to go to Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay(about 15 minutes driving) and boy, what a difference! do not stay at pueblo bonito mazatlan unless you are looking to tour the city. I suggest you to pay a little more and stay at pueblo bonito Emerald Bay. It is 100 times better, the rooms are better, restaurants are better, pools are huge and clean.

Clean, comfortable and time share oriented

Staff were courteous and friendly. Rooms clean but do not get the junior suite. The bedroom is isolated from the rest of the suite and the only window opens to the public hallway. Therefore the bedroom is very dark. The smaller suite is much brighter and lighter, and not much smaller. Public transportation easily accessible. Too many approaches to attend the time share presentations. We were on vacation!!

Good but could've been better

Most of the staff was very friendly & accommodating. The pool was too cold. The bar & restaurants are all on the opposite side of where our room was.

nice stay

nice rooms, great location on beach; typical beach vendors that are irritating; pressure to visit timeshare. Prices for drinks and food were insane.

Like the Old Days

This hotel remembers what it is like to value return customers and call them by name. Service is valued over the almighty buck and friendliness over status. Bigger is not always better and this resort is the perfect size to feel pampered.

Take note: this hotel is amazing.

I travel a lot because of my job, and i've been at this hotel with my family over 6 times and going the 7th time this friday. No other hotel in the area can beat this one. Very exited to re-visit Mazatlan! The weather has been perfect every time, staff has always been very nice, comfortable rooms, and the beach has always been amazing. My family and I have also agreed on this hotel being better than the one in Honolulu, Hawaii that's rated 4.5 stars.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

I've found that the weather is always best in November-December. I've been here a lot and have always had 80 degree (F) weather every time! It may seem odd to go during winter, but it's the best time of year there!

great location

Room needs renovations, kitchen and furniture looks tired. Every time we used the hair dryer the electricity went off in bedroom, and have to call front desk. Great location. Cilantros is great but slow service.
