Location, location Location !!
We stayed here as a couple of day add on at the end of a week stay in Mazatlan. Our motel type room was adequate and comfortable for sleeping.The resort itself was excellent, but for a longer stay I recommend a suite ! Great location in a fun area !!

Fantastic family getaway
It was great experience. I relaxed in the hotel. Nothing was missing in the hotel. This was the best trip I ever taken.

ok but could use improvement
HOtel was nice, other then the room was very hot and it had ac but it just didnt cool, plus their was tons of ants in the room. We reported this problem to hotel service but it was never taken care of.

A LOT OF LIL STORES NEXT TO THE HOTEL DON'T NEED TO GO TO THE MERCADO ALMOS THE SAME PRICE ON EVERYTHING....THE RESTAURAN FOOD IT WAS REALLY GOOD TOO & GOOD PRICE.....

Wow what a wonderful place
Took my niece and her friend to Mazatlan for their high school graduation present. Costa De Oro was perfect. I can not say enough great things about the staff at this resort. A very safe place. The time share lady only contacted us once. Pancho the tour guy was very nice and helpful. The only thing that could change would be the pillows they were very hard.

Loved it!
We loved this hotel and felt it had the best pool/beach area of all in the same area. Clean rooms and attentive staff. Met others who have been going there for 10, 20 and 30 years. We will definitely go back and stay in the same hotel.

You have to go to Gus Gus which is right across the street. Very friendly helpful staff, very safe and they have a live band every night which plays great music to listen and dance to.

Nice Hotel
The location was perfect the pool is really nice and my baby was able to enjoy it as well. The beach was right in front of the pool so that was really nice

We keep coming back
We have been coming to this hotel for the past 10+ years. The hotel is average in that the rooms are fine, clean, etc. The grounds are nice and well maintained. However,[...] in the lobby that coordinates the tours is awesome. He recognizes our family, and makes us feel at home. He goes out of his way to handle any need we may have, not just related to selling us day trips.

Sightseeing tip:
In Hotel
Go see Poncho in the lobby to set up any sort of tour or day trip. Vendors on the street will always come up to you or try to make offers. We have never been let down by Poncho. He gave us our money back on one event that was canceled due to lack of participants. He is honest and has good prices.
