A very good value for the cost
A good time, staff is great. Food is a wide enough variety to please everyone. much to do there and in the area. Reasonable prices. suggest all inclusive,a great value.

Very fair package
Very fair package. The room was nice as expected. My wife and I enjoyed our vacation. The only complaint we had was the excessive soliciting every where we went. We didn't get all-inclusive, but I think we would have been happy either way. The food was fairly inexpensive, and the entertainment was also. I would not hesitate to go again!

Taxis are all over the place and they are very aggressive, the flip side of that is you can always haggle for a pretty cheap ride because another one is always waiting.

Very good trip
We went on tours of the area. We took the city tour and it was very good.Jungle tour excellent. The country tour was very informative and excellent BUT the bus driver has a death wish.

Great value, loocation and beaches
The hotel was in a great location where you could walk or take short taxi rides to many fun bars/restaurants with great entertainers. The beach was fantastic altough lots of people trying to sell you things. Never pay the price they offer, bargaining is a must. The hotel offered some free water sport activites such as boogie boards which I would recommend trying as it is very thrilling when you catch a wave at the right time. The all inclusive restaurants at the hotel were very good just make sure to reserve a few days in advance to get the time you would like. All in all a great resort for the money we spent and I would go back to Mazatlan again.

About a 5 minute drive/20 minute walk from the hotel there is a bar called George's on Monday night they have great entertainment. At the restaurant above George's on Saturday nights they have a great performer also. Definetly worth going to see!!

NOT a 4 star hotel by any stretch
we thought we booked a king, non smoking, pool view...we got a double bed, smoking room with a view of a stucco wall and a teensy sliver view of one pool. NOT what we anticipated. Hotel was old, food was awful and staff was not accommadating or friendly. Plus, the beds were ROCK hard!!! We booked this for us and another couple, it was really pretty bad and we will NOT return. The exception is the pool, which was heated, to our delight. Dont waste your time or money on the "el squid-castilla"
